Location: Singapore | Hi; Theoretical question but important as to whether I buy an 1187-247, cos there dont seem to be many around in retailers, but there ARE a few onsite for sale...
*Anyway, if I was to get one of the acoustic-only 1187-247's onsite here, does anyone know of a GOOD way of getting PU's added? I have heard of one with Fishmans in it for sale in a shop, but I think I'd prefer a VIP5 system or at least the FET Adamas I system...does the factory do mods like this, cos Custom Shop is not sounding like an option for an 1187-247 from scratch since parts are scarce apparently?
any suggestions would be most welcomed!
Cheers
Ivon

Location: Singapore | Oh, OK, that WAS a very good piece of info in that last post of yours!!!....
well Im off to Montreal now, so perhaps side trip to NY, NJ or even Connecticut might yield some results for the (two!) 1187's Im after!?
Oh BTW, if I can't get an 1187 eventually or even a "mere" 1687-8 or similar, I gues you WOULD rate the 2008CE??? Its just I am not sure about that black colour??? Hmmm? Sound good though??? |

I think AL still has a few available for sale. |

If time or money is an issue than I would definately buy the 2008 Adamas Collector. I play it side by side with the 1187 and can tell you that you will not be disappointed.

Location: Singapore | Yeah...I have one staring me in the face, so to speak, now I arrived in Montreal, brand new, and I like the fact that it IS all "new" stuff. Cutaways real cool too. Looks good up close! BUT, I still think my new Al di sounds better acoustically! Much deeper n richer sound! SORRY eveyone!...but then again the CE IS an Adamas...I want one!!!!
Dilemmae!? |

As the Nike ad says "Just do it". Al will probably be cheaper than what you are looking at in the store in Montreal. Even with postage back to Singapore. |
