It's all part of my masterplan to take over the world - nu-hah-ha-ha-haaaaa!

Seriously though I sold my Line6 Variax 300 Nylon to fund an O nylon. There is one about to end on Ebay but at near $800 I think it a little over priced.

I still have a "need" for a 87C-4 then I'll be pretty much O'd up to the eyeballs.

Get a ladder. The 1763s are tougher to find than the 1713s. They also made one with Spanish Pine, which is the same as cedar. I think it was a 1613, but I can't remember ever seeing a 1663. It is tough to beat the deal I got on my 1713. One of the rare times I was in the right place at the right time.

Half that would be a steal. Something in between would be reasonable.

That's the thing! - I'm out for a steal.

There is no rush, I'll hang around the shadows then pounce...

-dweelzil, I stumbled on this link that may be of interest to you. I got my 1763 from Tony on here, and I absolutely love it. I paid $650 for the guitar, case, and lots of good will. I saw one online go for $700 not too long ago, so that range may help you to negotiate for this one.

Good luck.

BTW, as info, I've been lucky by googling craigslist, ovation, (model #); you can save a lot of time that way.

Thanks!

The fact thats it's in the US and that price I think I'll pass on this one. It's much safer and easier for me to pickup one on Ebay...

That's probably a great guitar, but I'll tell you what I don't like about Ovations from that time period (mid 90's). The finish on the necks became almost non-existant and the wood always looked, well, odd to me. Gloss the same wood and it looks great. Just my opinion......

2008. How many fingers am I holding up?

...oh, the guitar. 1999. Definitely NOT 2006, not with an Optima preamp. From the description, that may have been when he bought it, and perhaps he was told it was new, maybe it was NOS.
You might want to ask if he'll ship to UK.

Or see if one of our Florida guys will get it and ship it or hold it for you till you come over and get it. Get to try out someone else's guitar for awhile. If the finish on the neck bothers you, you could easily have it glossed.

He won't ship to the UK but I was thinking of asking my family in Boston to muck in.

Of course if one of the Florida guys would be happy to help out well that would be awesome.

Of course I haven't won it yet :)

Those nylon stringed instruments are for wussies. You need a nice Folklore. A 6774 would be perfect.

You is obviously selling one!

Praps not anyhow I sold my Line6 nylon string (don't laugh) to make way for a new nylon, yes an Onylon as I shall call it.

My first guitar was a nylon and it serves it place in the herd...

Even odds it's back later with a reserve this time.

Oh well...sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets sold locally to avoid the eBay fees.
