| Welcome, trips. Not to be the price police, but echoing what stephen said it depends on color, condition, etc. Questions like this come up all the time. "Worth" is a combination of what you're willing to accept and what someone else is willing to pay.
That said, expect anywhere from $600 on up to $1500. In today's market I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for the higher range :(
For anyone here not familiar with these, think cutaway 1537 with all the bling (carved bridge, abalone purfling and fretboard markers, walnut burl headstock face). |

1. What is the condition?
2. What is the finish?
3. What is the price?
The last one I saw sold on Ebay was a mint one - went for £513 in June 2008, selling here would probably go for less. Let me know and pictures would be good - thanks!!!!
Hey Patch, can you hear the music?

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think this has your number on it dweezil. It's not so much like a 1537 that it is duplicative. The sound is a bit crisper to me. Ebony neck, cutaway and lots of bling. It should be on everyone's short list. I will probably get another in a few years. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Wasn't the sunburst which was formally owned by stepehnt28 and is now owned by g8r originally a natural that was refinished at the factory? In any event, it's a beauty and I think black is beautiful as well...and both are RARE! But hey, any 87C is a fantastic guitar...
and...Christmas is coming...lol
BTW Trips, welcome to the club and best wishes with your sale! |

That was a REALLY TOUGH one to let go.
Bruce (Noah) knew I wanted it and when it suddenly became available, he grabbed it for me. Damn nice and typical of Bruce and some of our other members. |

Samova bought this guitar on the 'bay (I came close to buying it!) and sent it the factory. It had all kinds of laquer cracks. He had the sunburst done in the restoration. I played this guitar at Amelia Island in March. It's wonderfully beautiful in person with a great tone. If Serge ever sells it, I'm going to seriously question his sanity.... |
