Hello, give me your time a little.

I just need to know what the worth (market price.. how much will you pay?) of the slot head is (as it doesn't have the serial label.)

If you have a price or some past example, let me know with easy English.
see picts

Thank you.

Spider.

That looks like an original to me.

I would start the bidding at $9000.00

This looks like a wideneck. There were 5 blue ones. It's not 27 or 37, and I think Sam still has 59. So I bet this is either 28 or 57.

$10,000.

I'm thinking selling it instead of my friend. It's not decision though.

Did you hear they made one of slots without the label? in other words, do you know the history of this non label slot? (Thank you Gallerinski.) It's hard to guess they made it without the label. You know what? My friend doesn't know it at all.

Thank you

I am sure it had a label when it was new. The glue was not so good and over time some of them have lost their labels. I own #42 and Cliff has #54 and neither of those today have labels.

If you look for a number under the wooden truss rod cover it should be the production sequence number and from that number on the master build sheet you can see what serial number it was.

I see, Dave. I own #009# though not sure where the truss rod cover of slot is.. on the head? or inside of the body?

Thank you.

Undo the screw on the back of the headstock. The wooden piece on the front of the headstock will come off. There should be a hand written number under that piece.

Dave's right, looks like a wideneck, which will narrow down the serial # considerably.

This is featured on a Yahoo Japan auction. It is a 1687.

You are right Wayne. My friend are sounding out the price. If the price exceeds his hoping, he will sell it in the yahoo though he bought it with big money.

How can you tell....?

Glad he got what he was looking for (they're probably MUCH rarer over there than here so it probably did score a good price). Would love to hear some history and the rest of that story.

Wow, only $7500. Am I reading that correctly ??? World-Lingo translated the whole page and that's what is says !!!

If that's true, someone got a great deal, especially if it's no. 28 or 57.

This looks like a regular neck (1687) to me, and that's what the auction says it is. Although the profile of the neck looks thick, the width looks standard.

#40 went to Japan originally...it could be that one.
