This is a reprint, as promised, from the Guitaraholics Group, at Site B-
OK, as a new member of "Friends of Fred", I need to address Step #8. I am about to offer some of my critters for adoption, and do not wish to cast them into the nether regions of FleaBay, if at all possible. I have housed these fine instruments for an obligatory period of appreciation, and now am open to letting them roam to new owners.
The instruments are:
1127-4 Glen Campbell (MotherShip-rebuilt)- $400.00
1968 Josh White "shinybowl"-$350.00
1115-4 Pacemaker- $250.00
1113-4 classical- $250.00
Yes, these are serious prices. I REALLY want them to go to OFC members.
All have a hardshell case. Figure $55.00 shipping to the lower-48. I think there are pictures of all of them in the OFC Member's Gallery, but I will post some in my photo section here, also.
When the OFC Forums are operational again, I will post there. I'm giving this a month, to arrange for the adoptions, so correspond if you're interested. |

Not applicable, in my case. Purely altruistic. I wish to spread the joy & wonder of fine instruments, to an appreciative, & hopefully affluent, community.
R-r-r-i-i-i-ght. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
Actually, the response has been daunting. I will be sending out a lot of images, to this august gathering, later tonight & Thursday.

Looks like Ol' Josh & the 1113 are spoken-for.
As for regrets, Paul- yes, for all of them, I'm sure.
And Jim, "Connolly" comes from Helen Hunt's character in As Good As It Gets, in a modification of Jack's line, "You make me want to be a better guitarist". OK, flagrant theatrics & anthropomorphism. So, sue me.
I've named most of the critters.
The 1712 was named "Dillinger", from the two .22-caliber holes through the top & back. Must have been a tough audience that night! |

Location: big island | my last name is dellinger, although most folks pronounce it dillinger. i've traced the ancestry that shows the first dellinger boys in america landed in philadelphia, from dehlingen, germany, aboard the ship, "two brothers" in 1758. after several years many descendants relocated to western north carolina and some to indiana, while a large contingent remained in york county, pennsylvania. some families changed the spellings of their last names upon relocation. john dillinger's family is from indiana and probably related to mine. |

It's stupid that somebody here doesn't spend $400 to buy it. Witko has one that he had built that he loves and it cost a lot more than that...... |

Ol' Josh is headed East, to continue a life of appreciation & care, with one of The Brethren.
The 1113 arrives tomorrow, to a world traveler, & classical afficionado.
AND, Connolly is, literally, going to Fame & Fortune! She stands a good chance of television exposure & a career in recording. I will be tracking the activities over, probably, the next year, or two. A very exciting prospect, to be sure!
The Academy KA-17 even stands a good chance of change of venue & adoption. Details being negotiated, presently.
So, Ol' Faithful (1111) & Pacer (1115-4) are holdin' down the fort.
And, The Whizzer (CC13 resonator) is hiding in an old mid-depth OHSC. |
