My 87C is in perfect condition. Why would I ever want to sell it?

Mike has the gorgeous, near mint black one.

Snatch that one up....play if until your fingers bleed....and if the black doesn't grow on you then sell it or send it back to the mothership and have them refinish the top.

Either way you have a near mint 87C that sounds terrific.

Sounds like a plan but a mad one as shipping from the US to the UK back the to US then back to the UK is gonna kill me plus the refinishing cost, I'll rather stick it out and wait for a -4 to come along. I'm sure all the 87C sound as good as each other.

Call me weird but I think that non black guitars sound better ;)

#18 with a Bearclaw Spruce top.

Acquired from Sam. It has a nice story behind it.

Residing with Tony... Tony, would we ever let this one go?

Just sharing with you one of the best pieces of playable-art ever to come out of the Mothership.

We are only its temporary caretakers.

Yes, they get played!

AHA!

How about you resign as caretaker?

So some 87Cs were bear claw and some not?

Beal told us about 25 bearclaw.

Resignation is Tony's decision... it has been vacationing with Tony for so long now, I think it calls him "dad".

My mission was to get a 87C not look what you've done. I'm told it's *pretty* hard to get one but now my life has been made that much more difficult.

OT: Been playing my babies today whilst setting up my recording space and I have to say that the Os just sing, god they're good!

OT: I'm happy out on the patio with an Academy right now. Just debating on what to restring it with.

Jeez, if I lived in California, I would love just to be able to go there! One day maybe.

I have been lucky enough to go to Seattle and the San Juan Islands in Washington State and Austin TX 3 times but your country is soooooooo big, man it's big, I would dearly love (and it'll happen) to have some crazy road trip one day (praps when I'm retired) just driving around and experiencing some more of the wacky and wonderful place that is the USA.

You guys are so lucky.

A Southerner stopped a stranger on the Harvard campus and asked, "Could you please tell me where the library is at?" The stranger responded, "Educated people never end their sentences with a preposition." The overly polite Southerner then apologetically repeated himself: "Could you please tell me where the library is at, you jerk?"

"Never end a sentence with a preposition." Why? Why? Why?

The rule is important in Latin grammar, "however, English does not have case endings on nouns that are objects of prepositions, so the reason for keeping prepositions and their object nouns together is wholly irrelevant to English."
