Does anyone have a Folklore for $250 or less? I'd love to buy the one Damon is selling but it is more than I have to spend at this time. I need the wider nut and want to stick with Ovation. Otherwise, I'll have to go to Ephiphone Masterbuilt EF-500 which has 1 3/4 nut.
Anyone have a Folklore you can part with for less?

check with Mwoody, I sent him a 1114 that needed a little adjustment and BFLG luthier attention a while back.... don't know if he still has it or not, but was in good physical condition, just had a little neck twist that I believe he compensated for..
if he does it should be somewhere in that ballpark pricewise. unless he's done an addition of piezo or preamp which was also sent along with the guitar.

Thanks for replies. Not sure if Beal's well wishes were sincere of toungue in cheek since this is an Ovation forum. I have another Ephiphone that came in the door in perfect tune/intonation and also actually setup with low action - plays and sounds fantastic except that I am a finger picker and nut is too narrow. Thus my interest in the Folklore by Ovation or Ephiphone EF-500. One Folklore I was watching in ebay that ended last night went for over $700.

Glenn is correct in a way.
I now have a 1114 with a twisted neck and nice top. I also have a different 1114 with a nice neck and a sunken body. I have set both aside while strategizing a "Dobro-O".
I haven't tooled up to pop off an epoxied neck yet so I have been working on other stuff (like a life)!
