Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Randy, disregard my last post. I just checked your albums. You're still pretty thick in some outstanding gear. I hope the current sale will take care of you for awhile. The next cull will require some tough decisions! |

Location: big island | dust bunnies. and parting with these is not easy either. i really like all of these guitars for various reasons. the EA-68 is the most difficult to consider letting go. |

Location: big island | paul, this one was a keeper as long as i could keep her. i have nothing "special going on" except to reduce my debt, not that that's very special, just a necessary, economical sacrifice. the new owner will be receiving the best sounding ovation i've ever had the pleasure to own or play. i wonder how it compares to damon's -1? should soon find out... |

How easy to remove the neck?
What was the LP custom you sold?

Location: big island | looks like the neck removes rather easily with a bolt in the same cavity the truss adjustment rod resides in. this would allow the guitar to fit in a smaller carton, but the case is not collapsible!
i don't know much about electrics. the LP custom was an impulse buy and i kept it for about 5 months before selling it. can't really tell you anything about it except that it was very heavy! |

My Ultra GP is a similar weight.
I'm looking for an early 70's LP custom or standard

Congrats to seller and buyer. Glad it's ending up closer to me. We'll see if the -1's superiority is indeed fact or merely myth. ;)
I can't believe the EA is still available. If I had the $$... That's an excellent price. |

Location: Bay Area, CA | Randy, does this mean my old Viper has now made it half way around the planet? Whew, small world I guess. To the new owner--enjoy, you'll love it.
PS: I've just posted my VXT on the forum. If any OFC'ers have not tried one of these, you really should, and the price is right. I'll probably miss it like I miss the Viper, but there's that 'ol one-in-one-out rule, and the MM-68 (take two) is on its way, thanks to Patch. |
