anyone seen this yet? (If it is already mentioned, excuse me)
From what I understand from the listing, this seller built this from assorted parts and an NOS neck.
Excuse me to all the people who knew about this and were trying to keep it secret! :p |

He loves the Ovation 12 neck but not necessarily the active electronics and HBs so he is selling this nice one and building one he can play.
I'd put a Schaller 12 Bridge on there and it would be perfect. |

Won't look again... really... That's what "The Ol' Trader" would say.
It sure is a sharp looking instrument. Going to go higher than the current bid. |

After foolishly passing one up at a music store in Phoenix AZ in 1978 it's taken me 30 years to finally get a Sunburst Deacon 12. I am thrilled!
Have a great Labor Day everyone and best wishes and prayers for our friends in the path of Gustav...Hunker down and stay safe!

I saw that when if first came-out and LUSTED for it dearly!
Once it became obvious that I couldn't afford it, I definitely wanted someone here to get it!
We will be patiently waiting your report and pics. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Thanks OMA: actually I saw it when it was first posted...I was thrilled because I had watched the auction for the NOS neck...it went to a great cause!
BTW: if you think playing 14 guitars is hard, try 25...lol
Just a note: this is not a parts guitar: the only non original part is the replaced NOS neck, due to a headstock break on the original neck...The seller has done a great job of bringing the original back to life...It sure looks like a beauty...
BTW: These are uncommon enough in Natural Mahogany, but are extra rare in SB...I'm looking forward to its arrival in SW VA...I'll give a full report w/pic's when it arrives! |

I've held off on responding in order to reduce my color to a much paler shade of green.
That is one gorgeous git. It's the BW body pattern of my dreams!
CONGRATS!!! |
