The 03? currently $455. I've seen one go for $600 here but this is a FRG so perhaps it's "worth" less? The combo of the sikka spruce top, ebony fingerboard and walnut epaulets makes this a killer guitar for me. Wish sharky luck.

Sleepers? You mean you would sleep with one? They are nice but that's taking it a little too far!

One was sold here on OFC for $600 so I'm thinking that perhaps this could be had for less as the market is down and it's a FRG. But it's not looking likely.

The 2003 has looks and history as the first inlaid epaulet issued. I'm not sure how the neck is mounted.

I also believe that it has a modified Quintad bracing very similar to the 1537 style.

Anyway, I like the 2003.

Hopefully the seller will be happy to ship to me else I might need a friendly OFCer to do it for me - hint, hint ;) Yeah it's a real beauty and ticks all the boxes for me.

I thought so! In fact I'm amazed! What next, well apart from your 87 just an 06 (maybe) then a couple of Adamas. Then I'll be done. Really.

The only hope you have is to find me another one...

It's funny how the 03 managed to elude my "TO BUY" list for so long. I seriously think this one is gonna be a favourite for some time.

Did I mention an 02? Damn and blast OK so:

87, 02, 06 then Adamas. That's it, really, if not you know what to do...

Someone mentioned the '00C in another thread. Have you seen a really good picture up close of that Lacewood. VERY unique looking wood grain.

I'm not instigatin', just sayin'.

Nice try :p Whilst it's a gorgeous looking gtr it doesn't excite me in the same way as the 03.

More to the point how come you don't have a 93 or 03 - hmm? well? eh?

dweez, no more free 'laxative' for you! It must be affecting your thinking/attitude...

I've watched Patch work his way up through the 'O' line up right here on this site. In fact I have adopted a couple of his gits, which hopefully aided him to reach his goals.

He has put much work, research, love and effort into being able to get to his present 'O' level while being honest and without being confrontational or condescending.

If I mis-read your post, please enlighten me. Unlike Patch and his measured response, I'm calling you out on this one!

S'okay Iffy. Dweez and I get along fine. We trade sarcasity all the time and wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks for stepping up my friend, but you did misread this one a little. You and Dweez are two of my favorites on this board. I'd hate to see any unnecessary antagonism between you guys.

Still, it's nice to know someone's got my back.

Hey guys!

No antagonism, confrontation or condensation was meant, sorry if it came across that way. It was a friendly jibe from one Ovation lover to another, I'm very glad Patch took it the way it was meant.

I have a great deal to thank Patch for as it was honest and wistful advice when selling his 84C to me that fuelled my passion to continue to explore the wonders of the Ovation line. He is the person I go to here for advice/favours etc as are tastes are alarmingly similar.

2ifbyC, what can I say? No more laxative? Aw come on!

And I still maintain Patch your collection, whilst bloody lovely, is still missing a 93 as it's a damn fine guitar. If I like it you surely will. That was really my point.

Let's all be friends again, I prefer it that way.
