OK, I've tried this thing and can't seem to master the slide technique without driving my wife crazy. (could be a good thing, eh?) Anyway, decided to part with the reso that I just bought. Parlor size Republic resonator, brass body, slot head, yada yada... Great sound, been compared favorably with Nationals on quite a few websites by more knowledgeable people than I. This one has less than 1 hour time on it, and that's about 59 minutes longer than the wife can stand. Comes with hard case. Cost to me new was 650.00 to get it here. I will ship it Conn US for 575.00

Beautiful antique brass finish with retro finish cone cover.

Same problem I have when I try to figure out those electric guitars. I got a set of headphones, but it's just not as much fun if I'm not annoying anyone but me.

Here, here...

So Jim, have you tried just doing more fingerstyle blues on that, or is it just meant for slide?

I'm after one of these beauties but sadly not in that finish.

Of course folks you can play finger style on these - you don't need to play just slide...

Lovely resonator, some sensible person here should grab it.

I guess you can play it any way you want, but my wife and kid think it sounds akin to a banjo

My wife says it's time to go back to the swamp whenever I play mine. I take it as a compliment, since that's what I'm aiming for. She doesn't mean it as one. I figure that I don't really care if it sounds great as long as I'm having fun (and improving a little).

I think you need to click the "listen" tab at THIS WEBSITE to get inspired, then try it again.

Had a couple of trade offers from the AGF, but nothing I'd be interested in. If it stays, I can always just use it as a decoration.

I think TJ's color and the greenish one are the best looking ones offered. Great price TJ. Wish I wasn't determined to downsize before I start adding again.

Layaways accepted, as long as it doesn't stretch out for more than a couple of months. I wanted to get the brass body, and I think this is the only color in brass.
