Ebay - NO RESERVE!!!!!
Up for grabs is my GORGEOUS Limited Edition Ovation 2001 Collector Series guitar. It's in excellent condition and is a dream to play. Comes with the original Ovation hard case too. It's been setup professionally, so the action is nice and low and the fret board super fast!
The top is highly figured solid redwood which gives the guitar a warm, silky tone. Add to this the fact that it has an on board pickup and preamp which means you can plug and and rock out too! The preamp features a three-band EQ with switchable mid fequency, Low (80Hz) and high (10KHz) shelving filters and on-board chromatic tuner. The OP-24+C has all the features of the OP-24+ with the convenience of an on-board chromatic tuner. The chromatic feature helps keep you in perfect tune even when using open or non-standard tunings.
Rarely do you see a 2001 up for sale, even rarer with this lovely figuring and even rarer still in this great condition. It's been well loved, never gigged, always stored in the hard case when not used and stored in my smoke and pet free home studio. They only ever made 696 of these in the Ovation factory in the USA. Why stand for cheapo far east dead slabs of nasty wood when you can have the real deal?
Do yourself a huge favour and grab a bargain. This is NOT your run of the mill, bog standard Ovation you see every day on Ebay, this is a rare, beautiful much desired piece of Ovation history and is a darned fine guitar to play too! I ought to mention, for completeness sake, that the wood on the top has two hardly noticeable 'grain features' (please see last picture). Apparently these are perfectly normal with redwood tops, they're not cracks just features of the cedar wood, they don't even affect the highly glossy top, i.e. the top is smooth. I've been assured by Ovation that they are NOTHING to worry about. They never bothered me and shouldn't bother you either - it's just the way redwood grows I'm told and is a feature of the top. I just though that I'd mention it unless it does worry you.

That one didn't stay too long.
Make a nice partner for my round hole but this months ££ gone. When I say this months what I really mean is this years, and next and next ...
Now what can I sell? |

So rather than sitting on it I think it's better to let it go to someone who will play it.
Plus it makes room for something else ;) |

| Hi Dweez,
I noticed that there is another 2001 collectors for sale on ebay. That post contains your descrption and pics - the seller is listed in New Delhi with -0- feedback. Item # 140274618277. ...perhaps the seller is confident that they will acquire yours and is looking to flip it?
Caveat emptor - these are too unique to even consider utilizing someone else's ad to describe your own. |

Thanks for the heads up though!
Will report it to Ebay tomorrow. They will remove and terminate this seller. In the meantime will bid £9,999,999,999 - hehehahahho! |
