Adamas 1 1189-7. This is a rare wideneck model in beige. Originaly acoustic only, fitted several years ago with Ovation pickup and 3-band Op24. Label signed by Charles Kaman and dated June 78. Comes with custom Walnut tuner buttons (plus original Gold buttons) and original brown Ovation case.

This is being sold because I no longer use it as a gigging guitar, I have too many others to choose from and the 47RI has replaced it as the go-to acoustic. You all know what this is worth, so sensible offers only. It will NOT be going on Ebay. I can bring it out to the USA in January, so domestic USA shipping only, or can be collected from NJ or Ca.

I'll be getting an Adamas 2 12-string in Jan, and I'm firmly of the opinion that while you can't have enough guitars, I only need one 12-string. So, this was a 68 Glen Campbell 12 string, completely rebuilt by the factory. It retains the original neck, a period-correct set of vintage gold klusons (from Moody's of similar vintage)and the original white label with the serial number K289. The rest is brand new. A-braced top, repro rosewood winged bridge, shiny bowl, plus Ovation pickup and OP24+. Comes with a recent case. I gig with this regularly, but it's looked after carefully and it remains pristine. I'd like to see $1250 and again I can bring it out with me in Jan.

I know, I know..... pics. I'll try to get some done tonight. If anyone has this years OFC calender the Adamas is the March main pic and it's on Jerome's site here:

What's that in real money, i.e. with the Queens ugly mug on.

I've seen and played Temp's GC12. I liked it so much that when I had my 1969 GC 12 rebuilt, I had it done almost exactly the same way. An outstanding instrument and well worth what he's asking. I've a/b'd mine against my Adamas I 12 and a Ute 12. Different sound but same quality. Somebody needs to buy this guitar......

$1300 for the 12 string? OK. If you meant the Adamas you're gonna have to do a lot better than that.

I've played both of these guitars, and can vouch that they are BOTH top-notch instruments!
(and that Paul's a dope for selling either of 'em) . . .

Any of you guy's who like the wider necks, or perhaps have big fingers and really need one, that Adamas is as good as they come and as rare as it is claimed to be.

y'gotta' throw a few bags of Trader Joe's Chili Mangoes in to "sweeten" the deal.

He's "hooked" on that sh!t and by now has probably gone through the cajon-full that I smuggled into the country back in March . . .

There are several people interested in the Adamas. Looks like I'm keeping the GC12.
