| You guys are killing me.
OK:
Rationale 1: Although I already have an elite Koa, this one is a collector's.
Rationale 2: I TOLD my wife this was a better investment than the market..
Rationale 3: No vacation in way too long = more guitars (rejuvinating at typically less expensive).
Rationale 4: Because I said so.
Hmmmm, did I convince myself?

Where were you when I was trying to aquire one of these? Now that the cash cow has been slaughtered there's no more to be had. I'll probably spend the rest of the day looking around the house for something I can sell to raise money. Hmmmm ... How about a trade for a nice Vintage IH M1 Garand??? (: (: (: ??? You MAY need one down the road in Florida if the economy gets any worse. |

~~~===[ GORGEOUS ]===
~~~Though I must say I'm not 100% convinced the contour bowl is for me. Now a 2007 WITHOUT a contour bowl, hmm!
But someone has to buy this, it's a KILLER. It's eye candy now but imagine the tone of this baby in say 30 years. WOW! |

The only O in inventory at the local GC is a used 2006 KOA. They're asking $1400 or $1500. It has the rattiest and crappiest set of silk/steel strings on it, but it looks to be in otherwise excellent condition. If they'd only put a decent set of strings on it, they might actually sell it. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | You are. Those guys buy and sell guitars all the time. It's what they do. The Koa is a different sound and it's striking to look at. Some guitars with heavily figured tops don't sound good. This one will be good in both departments. |

BTW, I don't buy and sell all the time, I do go to work now and then and sleep sometimes. (not at work). |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I know how that goes. I tried to convince my wife that the 11% gain early this week meant that I could buy dvd's 2001, but she just focused on the losses of yesterday and last week. No one has any money to stimulate the economy. |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I recently found myself at the point of being "gun broke" After shooting a friend's Match Garand I fell in love with it and ended up with 4 of them, then it all started ... before long I had a collection of mint,vintage WWI, WWII, and Korean War firearms. I FINALLY came to my senses when I couldn't muster up money for guitars anymore (BOY WAS THAT STUPID!)I have now whittled the collection down quite a bit. The Garand I now have is an early model International Harvestr. When it comes down to a gun or guitar decision now, guitars are at the top of my list. |

| Congratulations Dweezil!
I was blessed with the company of your New Koa the day AL received it from TJ, and while I'm not a big Koa fan.... this is an outstanding guitar and you will be more than pleased with it.. definitely a different(darker?) sounding Ovation... and you get to have it open up for you and get even better!
it's a definite beauty! and it's found a great new home in the family!
still lots of Os for sale at Al's
vintage and modern and an Adamas and a couple of O-ddities and specials and collectors..
