| Ordered this just recently along with a matching 12" speaker cabinet. The amp is just fine (quite wonderful actually), but there were issues with the speaker cabinet which has now been returned. However, the way the return was handled has really soured the deal for me. I just want to sell the amp and move on.
In spite of my frustrations with the speaker cabinet, Curt Emery's reputation for amp building is impeccable. The amps ratings on Harmony Central and other review sites are further testament to the design of the product.
This one was setup for a cleaner sound using a lower gain preamp tube (12AT7), a 6L6, and 5AR4 rectifier. In addition, I purchased a tube experimentation kit. The unused tubes are displayed in the pictures below. I have not taken them out of the box and have about 2 hours of playing time on the amp with the tubes that were installed in it.
I have about $1024 invested in the amp and the tubes.
Will sell for $895 shipped to you. Paypal, please add 3%.

A transformer, two tubes and a rectifier?
You used to be able to buy that stuff from that display box at the entrance to Rexall Drugs!
:p Just kidding! Good luck with the sale.
But really, they use to sell tubes at Rexall, about $2-$3 apiece...
You could rebuild your TV or stereo chassis for about $20. |

that is a very cool amp.
A good friend who passed away a few years ago had one and loved it and I also loved and drooled over it. I did not realize they went so far up in price. The one he had was cheaper.
I regress. but the cool part about the emery is that you can sub almost any power tube and rectifier in it and get a really cool different sounds.
if you are intersted in any trades let me know I could be tempted. this in one amp that is on my list of must owns....... |

Sorry about the bum deal but in the aftermath you have done something I haven't seen in a long time.
You made Alpep virtually drool all over himself!
I'd use the trade-ticket myself. He's got a few pieces of classic carbon fiber. |

| Just as soon as I go saying I can't take trades, I thought of something I would take in partial trade.
This is a longshot, but always worth mentioning.

or
JC-120h (the head version, not the combo
