Iffy - If it's the same as a six, I've got a plastic cover. Which screws?

It's not screwed on if that's what you think.

Originally there were plastic tangs that went through the mounting holes in the bridge and were then melted over.

Not a major problem.

I've replaced a couple of badly faded covers and used a small amount of silicone adhesive.

Mike,

I have no idea if the 6er is the same width as a 12.

AJ,
I just assumed these were screws.

Iffy, no problem: you're welcome anytime...nice to have the guitar to take pictures of...I had thought of replacing the plastic w/chrome Schaler/Ovation bridge...still thinking about it...not sure it they were offered with that bridge or not...I think they were but mine is an early one...so perhaps I'll leave it as is...decesions, decesions....
I believe it is the same width...just different spacing on the saddles...
The screws allow for intonation adjustment and the one on the back is for height adjustment...(I think I'm right)

BTW, did yours get here yet? if so: Pic's/report?
lol...

Iffy - I'll check. I think they're the same. You don't need the whole bridge, correct? Just the plastic cover?

Mike (MM),

Yes, I received it yesterday. What a beaut! Other than the missing cover and one very small ding, it's near mint.

Pics will have to wait until I can drop one of these crutches. Not quite there yet; although I did get to drive yesterday and to church this AM! YEAH...

BTW, the flight/travel case must have a story of it's own. I'll have to take pics of it also.

Mike (CL),

I just need a cover. If we can verify the width, then I'd be more than glad to work something out with ya.

Thanx!

The posts on the 6 and 12 are the same distance but different hardware from the one piece to the Brass and Black Plastic.

I didn't realize until looking at the various bridges that the plastic piece was the same for the 6 string (adjustable bridge pieces) and the 12 string (non-adjustable bridge pieces).

Iffy - it'll go out tomorrow. I'll be out on the road today.

Iffy, the black plastic cover is the same for both: the actual bridge for the 12 is different from the 6 because the saddles have differing compensation for the 12 strings...

The 12 has fixed compensation while the 6 is adjustable. There are 12 holes in the plastic piece. For the 6 string, 6 of the holes are for strings while the other 6 are for the adjusting screws. On the 12, all 12 holes are for the strings since there are no adjusting screws.
