Basically a Thunderhead who's wood didn't pass muster for finishing (bodies were made in Germany, then shipped to Hartford for finish and assembly).
So slap on some bowl paint and some electronics that are actually quite nice, and you have a great guitar that sounds good, is well built, and with a finish that's reasonably indestructible and easy to maintain.
Can't ask for much more than that.. |

Jim,
I learned to 'play' on my Dad's '60 Gibby ES-330 TD SB single pup. I've always been a 335 fan. So yes, it's on the way! |

How much was it, as a matter of interest?
The listing has been removed.
There was one for sale on Fleabay here.
It ended today without a bid for the second time.
He wants about $650US but may take an offer.
I have his email if anyone is interested.
I have one so don't need another.

It cost me $580 shipped/insured. She was asking $550 and I wasn't about to argue. I'll be looking for another case in that the lady said the non-O case was not in the best condition.
I probably paid a premium price, but with it being an Ovation, plus a 335 style, my GAS overwhelmed me.
Here's the ad pics:
Can we say electric 'stealth'? |

Whatcha doing up this late (early)? Trying to keep the 'down-unders' company? :D
Yepper, I gotta slow down! I'm starting to run on fumes (pun intended, sorry). But it's been a great run, in part thanx to you! |

Jas, as long as you plug it in and wear it out... ya bet!
Now I gotta see if I can find an original pick guard... |
