| Has that devalued signature. I'm keeping a close eye on it, would go very well with my 1687 RI. |

I've emailed some questions, awaiting a response. |

| Well, we know what the reserve was now. Guess somebody needed some "valume," or a lesson in how not to bid up an ebay item too damn early. Still, nowhere near what it could (and should) go for as of now. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | He didn't drive the price up at all. If you bid lower than the reserve and are the high bidder, it will jump you only higher than the 2nd place bid.
But if you bid higher than the reserve and you are the high bidder, it jumps you automatically to the reserve.
The bidder knows he's gonna have to exceed the reserve to win it anyway, so why not do it now and get it over with. He didn't drive the price up at all, only to the reserve. The only ones disappointed are those who usually salivate for a week thinking they will win a guitar like this for $800.
No matter how you slice it, the winner is always the one willing to place the highest bid. Period.

Or he may have put in a high bid so that snipers can't beat him in the last seconds. There are diferent ways to play it. I prefer the last second bid myself. |

And I always wait till the last 15 seconds and bid to win...

| Agreed on all points except the "not this time", Mike. I'll be throwing my bid in during the last seconds. When this auction ends I'll be visiting the outlaws in north central WVa, about a 3 hour drive from the seller. I've already confirmed with him that if I happen to win I'll drive up and pick it up in person. |

Location: SoCal | These are such great 12's. We had friends over last night and the guy who's just a monster guitar and mando player picked up my Adamas 12 and as he always does, commented that it was the best 12 string he had ever played. High praise from a Martin/Gibson guy (no Taylors)...... |

A pretty high price for that signature.....
You don't need a cutaway on a 12 string. Ever. |
