Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | Unfortunately, SWMBO has ruled that two in means one must go out :(
Therefore, >cringe< the 1996 1688-8 "Big Blue" is going on the market...It will not be going to ebay though, this an OFC offer only. This guitar is gracing the June 2009 calendar
There are more pics at the OvationTribute under the Adamas section, 7th row down, middle of page:
Adamas I 1688-8 12 S
This guitar was formally owned by OFC members Hideki Hara & Stephent28. Fitted with the Optima preamp with built-in chromatic tuner & XLR plug. It is in excellent condition and a super low action. I picked this up from Stephent last May for $3k, I will consider $2,750 OBO.
Drop me a PM or email.

As much as like my s/b Legend12 for gigs, there's just SOMEthing about the s-s-s-s-sound of these!
g'Luck with th'Sale, Tim!

Guys, this is a really great one that has the action set so low it is hard to believe it doesn't rattle.
Frankly I am shocked that Tim is selling it....must be the color!
Great buy for somebody. |

Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | I don't want to, I was told to...I'd much rather keep it but I'm still fanagling for Temp's 1189-7 in March. Fortunately, she said no evil'bay, OFC sale only. So I may have to hold on to it for awhile!
So many guitars, so little $$$ ;) |

Nice, if it were Brown, Black or Red I'd be breathing into a paper bag right now. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I think the point is that a Collings C10 in any finish is possible to buy new now and for the foreseeable future. But the 1688's are a dying breed. Somebody should grab this one quick. Toby |

Now I have to figure our a good signature 12-string song to play on it with SWMBO. |
