Well, I just got the 2009 LTD guitar which dispite being maded of some different woods than the SS is actually a very similar sounding guitar to my ears. Too similar to justify having both. And quite frankly the 2009 cost me more money and is only 3 days old, so that's the one that's going to stay. Pains me to sell the TF430 but it will make someone very happy and the LTD will more than fill the void."
It's really uncanny how similar these two guitars sound when you consider that they have completely different bodies, same size, but one is cedar over ovengkol and the other is spruce over mahogany. I was shocked. Oh, and the 2009 LTD has a GLOSS NECK, so that sorta sealed the deal ...
It's my personal opinion that every Ovation fan needs a NEX sized wooden box guitar with a Cool Tube pre-amp. So THERE. |
