It's like comparing the Adamas I with the Original Slotheads. The 1718 is close, but there's just extra mojo with the 1537. Like Patch, I have mine (and it ain't going anywhere). If it's truly "98/100" it would easily be worth $1K, even in today's economy.

Now if we are playing the pictures game...

Would make a good companion for my 1758...

Actually, the only real companion to a 1537 is a 1538 ;)

I've since installed the rosewood mini buttons I got from Temp onto the 1538 as well; very nice change, I'll have to post a pic sometime.

Same as the 1718 vs the 1537. I always liked the 1718 and the 1758. The other two are just more of IT, if you know what I mean. I got to play Serge's 1538 at Iffy's and kind of liked it ;)
Actually, if he weren't looking so close when I left, it would have been in my car headed south :D

I'm glad someone here picked that one up. I was sorely tempted, but w/o the funds to act. I would have hated to see it go at less than $575 and not had given it a shot.

Nice grab. Enjoy the guitar...I'm sure you will.

Footprints, you're my kinda guy…

…First you post the listing for any of us that might be interested…

…then you get so hooked by the discussion that you turn around and bid on it yourself, and win it!

Great snag, be sure to thank yourself for the lead on that one… ;)

I was very close to bid on that one too, but decided against it. I'd probably just sell it again. Wait, am I starting to see some sanity here?? :p

TJ, we should talk about my Lowden.
It's nice enough you might even keep it for 6 months.

I was watching that one down to the last second, and was VERY tempted to bid myself. Glad to see it stayed in the family!
