This guitar doesn't look all that bad. It needs electronics and a bridge, but the body, neck and headstock look to be in good shape. If you have spare parts around it may be a good deal for you.

If I was going to spend $5k plus, I'd probably look around here in SoCal and find something I could test drive before buying.....

Yeah ... If I still lived in southern California I would probably be snatching up a lot of local guitar deals too. I sure do miss that nice weather though, and the beach.
