Location: enid, ok | Black UK II for sale, serial #12867, has been played but still in good shape. Has two minor dings as shown in photos. Will need a fret dressing, high E string pings a bit on some of the higher frets. Other than that it sounds and plays great, these are awesome guitars that belittle les pauls. Comes with a hardshell case. Please email for any info or for pics; will be happy to oblige, since I can't figure out how to post them here. . $450 plus exact shipping in the continental U.S. Thanks for your interest! |

Location: enid, ok | don 65, I am no expert, but I can perhaps fill in a few holes. These guitars were made in the late 70s/early 80s and were actually played by some prominent artists, my favorite being Steve Hackett, formerly of Genesis, who used it on his early 80s stuff, and really liked it in comparison to the les pauls he was using. The neck is wood with a very comfortable feel and the usual ebony fretboard, someone will have to help me with the fret make-up, but I really like the feel. The body is an aluminum frame covered in a substance called urelite, somewhat like plastic and hollow,to some degree, giving the guitars a very focused and resonant tone reminiscent of les pauls with very hot pickups, but without the weight. Also include coil taps for each pickup, which provide even more tonal options, something Ovation solidbodies were known for. That's my spiel; hope it helps. |

Location: Texas | Is it me, or the photo, or does it have a really wide neck? I have never seen one in person, maybe it just has a relatively small body which gives the illusion that the neck is like 3" wide? |

Please bear in mind, if I haven't been clear that this guitar is going at a good price for several reasons, but mainly; A)There is nothing special about this guitar, it doesn't have three pickups or cadillac racing stripes, and it has been played, and B) While it is technically playable out of the box, it does need work and it has a couple of noticable dings in it-they're on the ning site. I just don't want anyone to think I'm pulling any fast ones; I don't do that. Thanks to everyone for your interest! -M |
