| I'm selling my 2077LX. This is the burgandy color Legend with gold tuners. It is not quite 2 years old. This guitar is in mint condition with the exception of some very light fret wear on the first couple of frets on the first and second string. (Is this the area they call the cowboy chord area?) $700.00. This will be posted here for 1 week, then it goes to the Bay. By the way, I've just restrung it with Optima Gold Strings.

I just picked up another one from another member, otherwise I'd jump on this myself. This is g great guitar for a great price. SOMEONE buy it quick before my willpower fades! |

Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | If that's the same color burgundy as my '96C (Thanx Patch!), it's stunning in person.
The '96 is the only guitar I have that my bride said "Oh, I LIKE that color!" |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | It is the same Iffy. The burgundy 2077-LX is a seriously stunning instrument! But the trim on that '96 is really a standout look. My wife said the same thing yours did, but I let you shark it anyway. ;) |

| Nope. It hasn't sold yet. Now I have it listed on three classifieds sites local to the Raleigh area.
I can't tell you why it's not selling. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous and sounds wonderful. |

They don't do well anywhere but here because no one else really gets the fact that these are completely different from the Legends of yesteryear. The name has been used since the 70's and other "Legends" sell on eBay and CL for under $400.
So when someone does a search for "Ovation" or "Legend", your listing comes up next to a bunch of others priced at less than half of what these are actually worth. If they had been given a different name and the opportunity to develop their own reputation and price point, the re-sale would be better.
They are absolutely FANTASTIC guitars! It's just another crying shame that no one really knows it.
Keep at it, and good luck. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Oh my. I have bought two of these guitars recently, and I can't even begin to tell you how great they are. The notes ring like a bell, no matter if you are playing open chords or way up the neck. The scalloped bracing is probably the reason. The contour bolw is comfortable. The electronics are great. These guitars list for $2400, and the cheapest you can buy a new one is $1700. If I hadn't just bought the 07 Collectors from Trader, I'd be sorely tempted to snap this one up too. That's $1,000 less than retail people! If I sell something major in the next day or two I'll grab this. |

Congratulations, Nervous! You are going to LOVE this guitar!!! And thank you for your input on this deal. Your passion for this particular model meant a lot in my decision.
I gotta tell you though, I am primarily a bass player and have been for a long time now. My second utility is the electric guitar. About 15 years worth. I understand that, feel that and can get out of it what I need to with my limited talent. But the acoustic thing is very foreign to me. I will learn at a slow pace and the curve may be steep. My chording is electic guitar lazy and the acoustic demands precision.
I was perfectly happy with the 1778LX I picked up, the sound was great for me and I liked the mid sized bowl. Until the crack heard round the world showed up. That led me here to all you fine folks. But DAMN! This stuff is like 6-stringed crack. All the different models look like pretty candy with such staggering diversity that picking just one is all but impossible.
I was drawn to this one over and over though so my excitement for it's arrival is building. High quality everything in it's build, superb electronics, impeccable condition and from all I read, outstanding sound quality. I happen to like a crisp modern sound as evidenced by my Modulus bass so I think this will be awesome. Let's see how I fit the Contour. I might even have the intended physique for it....
Thanks all.

Your assignment, nervous, should you accept it, is do not go NEAR an Adamas. This is your one and only warning.

Location: Utica, NY | Just a public thank you to Victor for his exceptional service and for sending me a perfect and beautiful guitar. Brand new honestly couldn't have been much better. I will spend some time to see how this models sound suits me and go from there. I also installed the XLR in today so pretty soon it will be put to work. |

nervous: Slowly now, step away from the Adamas! Slowly turn around and take three normal steps.
Now...
