Can't believe I'm doing this but when times get tough, the tough sell their Ovations. I'm offering up my Elite 1778T in 'lusty red' color for $650 + shipping. Guitar is in excellent shape and comes with OHSC. Only 'wear' if you can call it that is that the satin neck has 'glossed up' from playing. Otherwise it is a 9.99 out of 10. Has nice action and electronics work well. OP30 pre-amp has built-in tuner, which is really cool if you play with other people because THEY have to tune to YOU. This is the mid-depth bowl model, voted best 'bang for the buck' Ovation on this forum once or twice. The Elite Ts are American made and one of their best features is a slender and fast neck more reminscent of an electric. These guitars are plentiful in black but red and pewter are relatively rare. You won't find a nicer used one than this, and with a year or so of playing by me and several years with a previous owner, the top has opened up nicely and this guitar really rings. I will try to take some photos but most of you who have gotten this far know what these Elite Ts look like. You can also read about them on the Ovationguitars.com site.

Please folks, don't all shout at once.

Added photos of Lusty to the Ning site. Here's one (I hope):

You can find others here: http://ovationfanclub.ning.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?scree...

I'll take $600 this week, which will include shipping. Next week it goes on eBay.

This is a really nice playing, excellent sounding guitar. Wouldn't be selling if I didn't have to.

Thanks for looking.

Say, do you still have that sunburst SSB Legend? I swear it looks just like the 1567 I bought last winter from an OFC member and now use every week for rehearsals. The missing storage flap and severed lid restraining strap appearing in one of the photos are exactly the same flaws in the case that accommodated the 1567 I bought.

Professor BB — the Sunburst Legend sold soon after I posted it. When did you get yours? Mayhaps it is the same one making the rounds?

That Elite T is a great guitar. I'm sorry I let mine go. Someone oughta snap this up. You won't be sorry.

Oddball, I compared the hairline cracks in the fretboard binding appearing in your picture against mine and it is, indeed, the same 1567 guitar. I bought it last December near as I recall, but not from you. FYI, I'm using this guitar regularly for rehearsals and storing it in the church bandroom which saves me from having to carry yet one more piece of gear back and forth from the house.

Oops. As it turns out, I did buy the 1567 from John (Oddball). Forgive me, John. At my age, I can barely remember what I buy anymore, let alone who I buy it from. When gear shows up at the door, I'm one of the first ones to say, "Now what?"

No problem. Who are you? Where are we and what time is it?

Long as I'm on the line, no action on the Red 1778T on eBay. Up for $650 BIN with free shipping. Of course what sounds like the equivalent well-kept black model just went for $676 after an intense last-minute bidding war, and the winner will pay an extra $30 to have it shipped. Coulda had mine 2 days ago and saved $50. Go figure.
