Well, I have decided to sell a few from the Collection. These are all great guitars: just do not get played as much as some of my others...and I need the funds for some ongoing projects and one future big event to be revealed later. It is hard for me to let any go and it has taken me several weeks to arrive at this list but the purchase of the Adamas 1687-8 #189 helped me to make up my mind...here we go: Remember to watch the slideshows for all pic/s

1. Adamas 2008 Collector #7 SLOTHEAD; mint condition; all case candy and COA, original case; #7 of 100 worldwide...Awesome guitar, ONLY Adamas Collectors guitar, VIP Preamp, Hand Laid Glass Bowl w/contour back, $5000 list...One of the most beautiful Adamas guitars ever made: $3,250 w/CONUS shipping included...$50 off overseas shipping...Pricing is firm...Pic's:

\'08 Collectors #7

2. Ovation 1975 Viper 1271-4; Absolutely beautiful! Curly Maple body and neck, all original, original case Pic's tell the story; a few dings here and there but I would still rate this a 8.5 our of 10...these are rare in this finish and very few have the curly maple...$550 firm w/CONUS shipping included...$50 off overseas shipping...Pic's:

Viper

3. Ovation 1996 1768-7LTD "Book Elite"...This is simply one fantastic guitar...nearly impossible to find especially in this near Mint condition...I just bought this from Dave late last year (got it in late January)...this was the hard one to let go; it is beautiful beyond words and is hands down the best sounding Ovation 6 string I have ever owned or heard...no dings/scratches/marks...GC trc and Gloss neck done at factory...breathtaking abalone inlay, original case in mint condition: here is your chance...$1300 firm...w/CONUS shipping included...$50 off overseas shipping...Pic's:

Book Elite

4. Ovation 1969 1115-4 Pacemaker 12 string, early white w/blue New Hartford label, glass bowl, BRZ winged bridge, includes early 3 latch brown case w/purple flush (handle in case pocket)and custom quilted case cover w/strap; guitar has some issues: top cracks, TR needs replaced, one tuner button missing, but is fixable: Mothership or BFLG project CHEAP! $275 firm

\'69 Pacemaker 12

These will be offered exclusively to OFC members for this weekend and go to eBay on Monday...if an OFC member wants to buy one then, I will cancel the auction early...
I take great care of my guitars; you will be well pleased with any of them...best wishes!

OK, let me be frank: the Book had a repair that was discussed here:

Book Elite Bridge

It is not a problem; it has never been a problem and Dave was more than honest in his bringing this to light. It would not affect how I bought it from Dave: the guitar is pristene (imho)...
I am offering it at less than I payed only four months ago...I will not declare less than that on the customs...to do so would be dishonest...I am not!
Try to find another nicer...If it goes on the bay it will be higher...
Some may ask why I am selling these guitars: my sife would like to visit her family in Russia whom she has not seen since 2001...that is the reason...none other!

I'll be back later this afternoon...

Geez, I could just buy the Book Elite back form Mike and I would have made money in the deal! Talk about an economic stimulus! Then I could put it on eBay and make even more money. Is this a great country or what?

You mean to say that we are allowed to actually make money on a deal?
I'll have to give that some thought... :D

Good thing I'm broke now, nice offerings Mishka!

I can't believe, after the raving you did about the Book Elite when you got it, that you're selling it. I'd rethink that decision.....

Man that Viper sure is hard to resist! I must however, I must! Geeeez, you make a man's life hard with those git-tars!

Nice collection. I do wish I could float you that money for the Viper but the wife is going to kill me when she sees the new Ovation I picked up the other day hidden in the closet!

Arnaud I am glad that you know Joel...he really wanted it and I am sure it will have a great home and get played a lot...which it was not getting here with unfortunatly all of the other guitars (4 other Adami, etc.)...so onward and upward...It's cool!

Mike,
Joël is the man who years ago ordered the purple Adamas which was shown some weeks ago in the OFC forum. He is a great fingerpicking guitar player, sure your 08C is in very good hands !!

Auction for the Viper ended and it's still mine...and its going to remain that way.
I really like this guitar...it's just not SWMBO's favorite...but whats not to like? The grain and figure in the neck and body are great and the guitar plays and sounds great...so, it's staying...
So three out of four in this economy's not bad...and everything fits for a change now in the closets and corners...She has some funds to prepare for a trip home to Minsk to visit her family next year.
Life is good!

snif...I'm so happy to see my child blossom and grow...

very nice...both the pickin and the guitar...

I have 4 other A's so I'm fine...the '78 1687-8 #189 is without a doubt the finest sounding Adamas I have ever owned w/the possible exception of the 1187-247...I am also quite busy with the twin -7's which are in concert with me in two weeks...

I am thrilled to see Joel so happy with the '08...

It's where it's supposed to be...
