Location: Bellingham, WA, USA | Someone was selling a 1860 balladeer on my local CL, its black with a finish crack so the original seller put it up for 200 OBO, by the time I saw the ad someone had already purchased it. 2 days ago a new ad appears on my CL for the same guitar but the new seller puts RARE in big capital letters in the ad and goes on to say how hes selling it because he's moving. Funny thing is the original ad is still on CL from june 7th, I decided to email the guy and tell him its a shame he bought it soley to resell it for double the price and he gives me some story about how hes completely broke, funny how in just 2 weeks he would become completely broke when he has to be moving but decided to buy a guitar and then resell it for double the price. I just dont buy it. |

| The page on CraigsList has disappeared. Did someone here bought it ? Looking for one but cheaper, as I have to pay expansive shipping fees. |

| I know Dweezil, but Great Britain is a lot more accessible from the USA than French Polynesia, and a lot more known ! "French Polynesia ? Never heard about" is a classic answer to my questions, and we have only postal boxes here, not geographicall adresses : not very reassuring for sellers !
Even to buy CDs or books on Ebay, I had to give sometimes relative adress in France to receive the parcels...
I received your proposal, thanks a lot Dweezil, but I got yet a guitar with laminated top (02C), and would like now an Ovation with natural wooden top, like a Custom Legend or a Parlor 97C... But I'm not in a hurry, waiting for a quite cheaper one... |
