Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | A finger picker's dream guitar. This is not one of the original 50 but was made later using a 1-7/8 inch wide neck. The body has the same details as the original and is even labeled FD 14 by the Mother Ship. The sound board is beautiful cedar with no flaws at all. You can play this guitar through your amp just like the original FD 14's. I always hesitate to call a guitar mint, but this is one. No surprises. It's a one of a kind Folklore Deluxe. Comes with a case which is also in excellent condition.
Finally, I know times are tough so I'm going to try to make this an easy decision for those interested...$980 + 1/2 of the shipping (Continental US).
Here's the pictures... Wide Neck FD 14
Thanks for looking.
Jim...I need a good blues name like "Broken Fingers Jim" or something like that. |

Gotta say, I like the looks of this one. |

Hey Dweez, how long is that 97 going to be "in route"? |

You are relatively astute in that the neck has a gloss finish. There is not a single scratch on the Neck. It's beautiful. The neck also has been refretted by the Mother Ship so it's in perfect condition. I have to give TJ credit where credit is due. The wide neck and FD 14 Body make a sweet combination...especially for finger pickers.

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Hi stellar,
I'm one of the probably few fingerpickers (fingerstylists) that prefer a narrow neck (yes I have big hands/fingers). I managed to get (OK as TJ points out it's still en route) one of the rarer wide nut 97s, I think it'll be fine and will be the exception to the rule. I think far too many years playing an electric means that I'm just used to a narrower nut. That's not to say it's not a pleasure to have the space when playing the 1680 for example.
Sorry for the hijack.
But good luck with the sale, an awesome guitar and a killer price, someone here ought to get it! If I didn't have a (unwell) FD-14 already I would have jumped. |

Hey Dweez:
What does FD-14 (not well) mean?

Location: Brighty in Blighty | It means that it got badly damaged on it's way from the US to UK. With the huge help of the seller I'm currently trying to make a claim so it can go back to the Mothership for a new top (oh and a neck gloss).
Fingers crossed. |

You sure have some beautiful guitars. I love the 1881 Adamas. Wow.
The economy must be worse than I thought. Still no takers on my wide neck FD 14 so sadly, it looks like it will be going to Ebay this weekend.
