Location: Sacramento | Hi,
I've simply got too many guitars and not enough space. This one has gotten no playing time in the past year, so it needs to go to a good home where it'll be played.
When I purchased this it had the left over residue of a "Florentine" like decal on the top and scratches & gouges from someone scraping the decal off. My luthier took it, set it up, cleaned the top off and buffed it up, making a dramatic difference in the appearance. As you can see in the pictures, there are still a few scars, but not noticeable.
Action is great on this one and the electronics work, although a bit scratchy sounding when adjusting the controls. A bit of wear in the fretboard in the upper positions. I'm trying to give as much info as possible. This is a 30 plus year old guitar that is a great player. I'll split paypal with you and shipping will be my cost, which depending upon where you live could be up to $65. 3 day approval period. If you don't like it, send it back and I'll refund the purchase price to you (less shipping)
Thanks for looking,
Terry

Back then it was just called the artist depth and you got that or a deep bowl. Do some research and you'll learn about it.... |

- Deep bowl was 5 13/16’’ in the early models, its' now for more than ten years : 5 7/8’’
- Shallow bowl was 5 1/8’’ (130 mm) and then named Artist 5 1/4’’ (or mid-depth bowl)
- Super Shallow = 4 1/16’’
- Adamas Deep Bowl = 6 1/16’’ but only 5 7/8’’ if not a suspended ring mount...

Remy Wow great to know!!! I didn't realize the difference in size between deep and shallow was really so small. Thanks! |

do you know Wiesbaden?
I live in Budenheim, it's about 10 kilometers from Mainz. Wiesbaden is exactly on the other side of the river Rhein. From my home to the center of Wiesbaden, thats maybe 16-18 km.

I've also bought this weekend a 1614 on ebay Germany. It was the guitarplayer from P. Werner (Kribbeln im Bauch) in the 90th. Not fare from you, in Weinheim-Birkenau. The guitar is extrem dusty, the frets are "played", you can see, but in yery good condition, only some dings and no crackes in the top. Now I'm cleaning and polishing it, then it will be new strung and then....let's go.

Location: Tuscany, Italy | Hey bburg you got the 1614 from the ebayer silberhoff ?
I was watching that Folklore as well. At one point the auction disappear to reappear the day after with 22 days run  and then back to the original expiring date. However congrats on your new baby ! I'm sure it's a good get. When you decide to get rid of it let me know ;) . Meuti already knows the Folklore is at the top of my wish list. :p

well, it is from "silberhoff".
I'm ready with cleaning and I've strung it, the truss rod adjusted and now its plays and sounds great. I love the wider neck of it and I think, it will be my favorite one.
I hope, you'll snagg one too.

were do you live in Italy? I was in Italy 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks, having some holyday near Florance.
The weather was fine the Chianti tastes very well and the Toscana is very nice. I like Italy very much.
Best wishes to Italy

Location: Tuscany, Italy | Ciao Bernie,
I live on the seashore facing the island of Elba in a small "steel"-town. Main occupation here is in the steel industry. Check out Piombino in the map of Tuscany. I'm glad you're enjoying your Folklore. Sadly (from my point of you) there were many Folklore available on ebay or here from OFCers, but for this year the funds available for guitars are near the end. In july I got my Deluxe Balladeer back to life from Mothership and I grant myself a Xmass gift by mid of August ;) (when in Florence I got a non-Ovation dread) so I have to wait for quite a while to buy another git. :(
But life is beautiful and never dispare.
I've been in Germany many time also in your area. I like Germany too !
Last time was in september 2008 for a big exibition in Berlin. |

Bernie Wow :) Congrats Bernie! I'm glad you found one at least! It's good to hear that. Enjoy your new guitar(s). |

my wife and I lay down on the beach of San Vincenzo, near Piombino, on Sunday Oct. 04th in our holydays. The weather was very fine, it was great.
My hometraylor stands in Figline-Valdarno, 30 km south of Florence.
It had been very nice to meet you.
Have very nice days, and when I find a 1614, I'll let you Know it.

Location: Tuscany, Italy | Yesss Bernie, San Vincenzo is really very near to my place. Now you know where I live. Next time you get here just let me know ;) .... and thanks for the help in searching for the 1614. Recently 2 or 3 Folklore appears on German-bay. I keep an eye on that every day. BTW Bernie, as the OFCers always say, "this thread is worthless without pics", so you have to post pics of your beauties at the soonest. I'm curious to see the Folklore :)

for that ones, which were realy good, you have to spend 400-500 € at least. But then, you have a lot of fun with it.
My one, I've bought last Thursday, is now ready to play. It looks like new. I've strung it with Thomasik-Infeld-Strings "Classical Precision"- flatwound steel strings for classic-guitars. It sounds full and warm, but not as out of a hole, although bright and clear in the heights. I love that sound. The same string set, I've on my 1713 classical. It sounds a little deeper with its cedar top. That strings are also very easy to play. Now I've told you enough about my one.
Let's look for a one for you!
Best wishes
