Would some of you please contact the person selling this Viper on eBay about the non-original knobs.
The description states "Everything is original."
The knobs are not.
I've tried to point this out but with no avail.
Even sent him links of what they should look like.

I've been burnt on eBay and would not that to happen to anybody else.

I think I helped but it is still the responsibility of the Buyers to research the item as best they can. There are a lot of good Sellers and most think they are saying the right things but it is after all, an Amatuer online Swap Meet.

Uh... If you already Know that the knobs are not original, how could you be burnt?

He also states, "I’ve only owned this guitar for about a year."
So maybe he means that he hasn't changed anything?

My Viper came with Gold non-original knobs.
Now it has black non-original knobs that almost look original (from a distance).

Old Man Arthur,

I wouldn't be burnt. I know they're not original.
But having been burnt in the past, I choose not to look the other way. Somebody else might take this person at his word.
I'm old fashioned, I believe in honesty in advertising.
I thought I would get a more positive reaction from the O.F.C..

Just trying to be the Devil's advocate and give the seller the benefit of the doubt.

I appreciate the info but I have this urge to be a weisenhimer.

He must have changed the description

"Ovation fans have reported that the knobs may not be original"

Nibbler ... methinks you having a nearly identical guitar on the bay at the same time contributed to your concern.

Hey stonebobo,
Not really.
This person has been trying to sell to sell this guitar on and off for the past few months.
I've pointed out his bogus knobs before to no avail.
By the way, mine sold.
See ya,
