This beautiful, single owner Ovation guitar is ready to go to its next gig.
Purchased in 1981 at Ray’s Music Exchange in Shoreline, WA, this was the stage acoustic guitar for a local 50’s rock musician.
Although this guitar was played regularly, the condition is pristine! No signs of wear on the neck, or deck, or back (or anywhere else for that matter!). Electronics are perfect and has that nice crisp Ovation sound. I don’t think there’s a nicer one out there!
Action has been lowered (only non-original aspect), but if that’s not your style, it could easily be changed.
Includes original hardshell case with a couple of interesting back stage passes (Pat Benatar, The Cars). Handle on the case is slightly loose, but interior is perfect.

PS
We also have this listed in the Seattle/Tacoma Craigslist, so it may sell there

You'll need to post an asking price or this ad may get pulled.
Do you have some more pictures, like finish, the frets, etc? |

When I say pristine, I mean ultra clean. I've seen brand new axes that didn't look this good. There isn't even any hand wear on the neck, or nicks from changing strings on the head.

This one's going to a friend in AZ. A very nice specimen. I'm giving it the spa treatment now.
I've grown to really dig on these A-braced beauties. I sold/traded some things off and have acquired a couple more center hole A-braced marvels (including one with a carved bridge and TRC!)
I suppose I owe the group some new pics. I'll get this beauty up and running and post some red blanket shots. I have a new idea for a picture too, something to rival Randy's and Rev Mike's backdrops. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Welcome back, Damon. I bought my Legend Ltd new in 1981 and it was my only guitar for the next 20 years, so it has many miles and is possibly ready for some new frets, the board is worn in some areas, and it has the normal dings and blemishes that inevitably happen during thousands of hours of playing and handling. On the positive side, it sounds fabulous as only guitars with so many miles can. I asked my son if he could have any guitar in the bandroom, which would he want? He said this one because he grew up listening to it. I suppose it will become his someday. |
