OK, I know what all you are saying, he just got this one. Well, I've got my eye on something else at the moment that costs just about what this should bring. Anyway, I just got this one and it is a stellar example of what an Adamas should sound like. For those who haven't played a 1680, let's just say, it's an experience. Great bass without being muddy. Extremely light in weight even with the OP VIP preamp. One piece walnut neck, mop fretboard inlays, 12 fret, slot head heaven. Not an FRG. I'll part with it for just what I have in it, and will include free shipping to the conn. US. $1550.00.

DAMMIT JIM!

I'm a social worker, not a lottery winner!

You put this up two hours after I get off the phone with the factory?! I've half been waiting for you to do it too, but I just committed to a big hunk of change. The sad part is, I'm still trying to figure out if I can get this one.

Well, it's not sold yet. Blues was the first to respond (by about 14 minutes), and he is getting to try it out this weekend. If he doesn't want it, Allison is next in line. As far as I know it will stop there, but you never know. That would be up to her at the time.

Stephen, I am pretty sure I won't back down on this one, but if I try it out and find out it isn't what I was looking for, I will let you know first. Of course all of this is probably moot because Bluesailor will probably buy it anyway, but if he doesn't, I just HAVE to have this guitar. As a matter of fact, if he does buy it, I will be on the lookout for one somewhere.

Brad has passed on some guitars before that I thought he would grab.....so I would bet 50/50 that it may or may not be available.

Probably for the best.....I am sending chunks of money to Tony C. for what seems to be every month.

Time will tell. There is this very nice Martin in the balance!

If I do take her home, I'd bet that GAS will get the better of me in the not so distant future. I've sold guitars that I never thought I'd let go in the past. I tend to view guitars as being on loan to me until something else strikes my fancy.

(And then there is a nice 000-28 VS out there somewhere with my name on it.....somewhere)

The 1680 along with the 47RI are the best sounding Adamas guitars I've played.

No, not that I've heard. As per John B, they made less than 100 of them, more like 70 or so. The funny thing is, now I have 2 of them in my house, Iffy's and mine.

Well, they both will be vacating this weekend when I return Iffy's, and Brad may be confiscating the other one. If not, it will be going to the Black Hills area code via Fedex.
Did I mention I have a rather large German Shepard that we only feed once a week? He stays in the same room as the guitars. ;)

I always meant to ask about the little nibble marks and the strange smell on your guitars.

Mine smells like New Jersey pizza, not quite sure why.

Call me The Prophet!

Brad is looking for a specific sound he hears in his head. I did not think the 1680 was it... but when he hears it, it will indeed be one sweet guitar he will probably keep forever!

Keep looking Brad.....it's out there!

Iffy, I'd prefer it if you kept them uncrossed and watched where you are walking.

Though I certainly appreciate the kind thoughts.
