Location: Gig Harbor, Washington | Well, the *GFC has brought me to my knees (literally!) and is forcing me to offer up my jewel of a Storm Specimen - a totally refurbished Tornado complete with NOS electronics, frets, refinish, tuners & a high-end case...
Hate to let it go, but I've taken on so much water over the last year that I have no choice! This one is an absolute collector that plays like a dream and looks the part as well. It went through the factory over a year ago and gobbled up nearly twelve hundred in parts, goodies and set-up, and is guaranteed to please.
Here's a few pic's to whet your appetite!
And a "Before" shot!
It plays and sounds incredible and is nearly perfect...it does have a slight chip in the finish where the "B" string peg comes through the headstock face and the spring has been removed from the whammy (for better tuning). The neck has a very slight curve to it - though it plays perfectly, the intonation is perfect and there are no "issues" from the curve - if fact one only notices it visually when it's sitting in the case.
I'd like to get $900 plus actual U.S. shipping and will regret parting with it immensely! If I can't keep it in the OFC family - I'll put it up on eBay at weeks' end.
I've sold numerous toys here, and I'm sure there's a few who'll give me a thumbs up, and my eBay feedback is @ 100% for 298 times at bat!
This one is a "3 Enthusiastic Thumbs Up" of what a pile of money and months at the factory can do! Thanks for your consideration - and I hope we can keep it around the OFC! |

Location: Seoul, Korea | Kurt, is this similar to Gibson jazz guitars like ES-175 and L-5 by any chance? Never having owned a Tornado nor played one, just by looking at your pictures, the body looks shallower than the Gibson jazz guitars. If it is, and Stephen28 ends not buying, I am interested as well. |

And yes, STK - it's much more shallow than say a Barney Kessel Gibson (the body is 1 & 7/8" at the edge & 2 & 1/4" at the bridge)...
Hope that helps - Mahalos~ |

Location: Upper Left USA | If anyone wants to make an offer on any of my unfinished and broken instruments that would allow me to buy Kurt's Tornado!
He lives just two Walmarts away and I have seen and played this gem. |
