I have just listed the following on E-Bay. Sorry I couldnt just list here first, but I need to raise funds fast.

Unfortunately the economic impact hits us all and I have to be grown up and let these guitars go. Here's hoping better times are ahead for us all and I can enjoy rebuilding what has been a terrrific collection. I am keeping some of the sentimental beuties and my couple of specialty items hoping that I can avoid selling them.

Adamas I 1687-7 . You know what it is. 1687-7 Ebay listing

Adamas II 1681-TEAL It's a cutie! 1681-TEAL Ebay listing

Adamas II 1685-8 12 String Blue Burst. If you thought you couldnt afford to get into an Adamas 12 string this could be the bargain for you! 1685-8 12 string Ebay listing

Ovation 1685-1 12 String Custom Legend with upgrades to electronics and new bridge and TRC. 1685-1 Custom Legend 12 String Ebay Listing

Adamas U681-T-12 UTE 12 String...you know you want it! The UTE 12 String Ebay Listing

Ovation 1769-LTD Book Elite. Yes that one 1769-LTD Book Elite Ebay listing

Finally two high end non-Ovation items:

Didn't you have a 1881 in teal for sale at some point or am I mistaken?

Nope, I had a black one that stayed inside the family here. This one is definitely a 1681.

Shouldn't that read as a "1658" Legend 12? (It says 1685.)

I have managed to totally avoid Ebay this lifetime, but that Legend-12 is almost enough to make me reconsider…

…darn you… ;)

It is extremely pretty. I was never a great sunburst lover, but this one is one of the prettiest...and yes the typo demons have struck. It is a 1658 which is correctly typed in the actual Ebay ad.

Wow! Very nice stuff. I'll be watching all these auctions. I'm hoping Willa and Trader's computers break so I have a chance at some of the scraps. I promised my wife I wouldn't buy anymore guitars for at least a year but you may be forcing me into divorce court!LOL.

The teal one's gone, but I knew about that. I'm still after that CL though. I had one for a short time but didn't realize how much I would've liked to keep it until I sold it.

I hate when that happens.

Just so folks understand, I am doing what I can to keep these in the family. I told a few folks that contacted me that if they wanted to jump past the auction I was responding to "reasonable" market value offers. While urgent fund raising this is no 'fire sale'. I will take my chances with the auction otherwise.

UTE-12 and the 1681-TEAL appear to be staying in the family.

I talked to Stuart about a couple of these. One is already gone, and no hard feelings there at all.

I've bid on the CL, but I simply don't have the $$$ right now to give him his OFC BIN, which is quite reasonable, but higher than my bid. If anyone here is wanting that puppy, I will NOT, in any way, feel animosity if they contact Stuart and buy it before the auction ends. That would be nothing but petty on my part. Likewise, I cannot go any higher on my bid, if anyone here wants to go at it, again, no hard feelings. Seriously.

Stuart wouldn't be moving these at all if he had a choice. The better the price he gets, the more it helps. Again, I would be petty to look at it any other way.

So bid away folks...or just go ahead and buy the thing from him.

As everyione has said with all sincerity;

Best of luck Stuart! :)

You're a gent Patch! Thanks for the kind wishes from everyone here.

And a shout out to my dear wife who is so understanding and has promised that I will get the excitement and joy of re-investing in the collection once we get past our immediate struggles.

I owned that Book Elite for a short while (I think that's the one, right Stuart?) and it is extremely nice. Stuart is a great guy to deal with. I met him in person and we swapped a few gits.

Good luck Stuart!

I would love to get my hands on that CL12, but current negotiations with SWMBO are stalled at the part where I'd have to promise to sell my 1598-MEII if I bought another 12. I even considered doing that (briefly), but then I played her for an hour or so and I gave up on that idea…

Good Luck with everything Stuart, they are all very desirable guitars that hopefully will stay in the OFC family until you are in a position to buy them back… (hopefully sooner rather than later…)

I can confirm that the 1687-TEAL, the UTE-12 and the Martin D18V stayed inside the family. Other auctions seem to be running their course. Thanks everyone for their healp support and kind wishes.

Congrats on your sales Stuart! I tried to bid on the blue 12 but it went higher than I could afford. I can't believe the ute didn't sell either. I'm sure it will if you put it up again. Did anyone here get the blue 12 String?

So...congrats to the new owners and to you as well Stuart.

Good luck with everything.

Well Patch, it wasn't me.

I did contact Stuart about it but a 12st is not high on my list and I've got my eye on something else.

Good luck all.

A guy in Santa Cruz won the Blue 12 string.
A Guy in France won the CL-1658
Same person in SC (different ID's) won the 1769-LTD and the 1687. They should be a member if they aren't already with that eye for high end Ovations!
And the biggest EBay bandit (joking of course) of the day winning the OM28 for a terrific price (for them) was a member. If they want to disclose themselves they can, but otherwise the results are secret.

Stewart, hopefully you can now afford to hang on to the rest of them…

I'm still lamenting letting that CL12 get away… and now it's left the country!!!

I was surprised at the small number of bids and the relatively low prices that won, some folks got some great guitars at bargain prices… (IMHO)

Best of luck to you Stewart, I hope fate lets you buy them all (and more) back real soon…
