Hmmmm....
Like I didn't have enough to think about. I've got another bid or two in progress, so I'll probably have to see how those pan out.
But...
Hmmmmm...... |

Location: east coast usa | i have already bidded on this guitar as i want a 1614 to go along with the 1615 pacemaker 12 string i just bought off of mark. i have been outbid, but i am keeping a close eye on this auction. Before i bid again i was wondering if any OFC member has one just like this that they may want to sell.
Also since i respect all of your opinions could someone tell me what they feel i will have to pay to win this piece in todays market? thank you |

I do love the black to 'wood' headstock (like the PM). The -4s (natural) I've seen don't have that.
geneo, check your PM... |

I'm looking for a 1614, but I live in Germany.
What are the shipping costs to Germany?

Using the on-line USPS Express Mail International shipping calculator, maximum dimensions and a 'generous' 20 pounds, it shows $105-114. |

Location: Germany, where delicious wine is growing (Rheinh) | Well, I'm also very interested in a 1624 Country Artist. What is the better sounding one?
Is there anybody, who has one for sale?? |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | That's a very attractive Folklore, and if I were in the market for one like that I'd probably spend between $450-500. I would like a closer , 2nd look at the fretboard though. From the picks it looks to be a bit worn down on the cowboy chord frets.(no offense intended to the cowboys) That's a beautiful finish, and now that I have a burst of my own on the CL, I know why some people like them so much ... they are stunning to say the least. About the Country Artist comment ... Did they make a Country Artist model with a deep bowl? If so, what model number? |

Thanks for the info Dave. Anybody know why they didn't do a deep bowl Country Artist? I noticed that the newer Model 2773LX has a deep contour body. Just wondering if there was a specific reason. |

Vince, keep in mind that these "artist depth" models were introduced almost 40 years ago. Charlie was going for different models for different sounds and different needs. He already had several deep bowl nylon strings.
The Country Artist was aimed at electric and acoustic steel string players who wanted a narrower neck than regular classicals, and also necks that were 14 frets to the body. |

Location: Germany, where delicious wine is growing (Rheinh) | Well, thank you for your help, but today I have also asked for the fees. I have to pay 180$ taxes at a price of 500$.The shipping cost came on top.
That's a very bad deal for me, isn't it? |

Location: Michigan | I guess it depends on how badly you want it. A good deal is really what it is worth to you. If you can afford it...and want it, price is very relative. Though, if I were paying a premium for a guitar I would sure like to have someone check it out first. |
