Hi,
I'm selling my 2007 Collectors model. It is a beautiful, very unique guitar. And it has the 70's pickup system (which sounds WAY better than the current undersaddles). Don't hit me, but I've put pickups in my Martin and simply am not playing the Ovation. In fact ever since I got my Martin, I haven't been playing the Ovation. It is as new as a used guitar can be. Never been gigged, never been out of the house and has lived in it's custom hardshell case (included). If your a real Ovation nut, you should look into this beauty. I purchased mine from American Musical in July 2008 and purchased my Martin in August, so I played it for a month. Everything is mint, all the electronics work perfectly. I paid $1000 for it new and I am asking $800 (that includes shipping). You can check reviews at Harmony Central at the link below. Please feel free to email with any questions.
Thanks for looking!

ok....the pics didn't upload properly...you can see them at the link (or paste it in your browser); its an online photo album...go to the album named "Ovation"...enjoy the other photos if want...be careful of the album "Biological Specimens" as there are photos of dead marine creatures (if that kind of thing offends you!)

My '07 is a favorite and ranks right up there with the Adamas 2080 in terms of playing pleasure and quality of build. You're nuts for selling yours, but someone will be a happy camper to get one.

ARF?....You no likey? I see you have one; apparently it isn't one of your favorites, or is that a canine geneology speaking? Lycanthropy is a very misunderstood condition and much more common than one would think.

Hey DiamondHead, good luck with the sale. You're giving up (IMHO) one of the finest Ovations to ever come out of New Hartford. I love mine. While I really like my Martin too, I find myself playing the 07 more than the Martin. It's a good thing there are so many flavors of ice cream and no accounting for taste ... it's all good! That's a real nice looking top on the 07 ... someone is going to get a great guitar at a great price.

gulfcoast....If you haven't heard the new Dan Cd, by all means get it now! Dan worked on the music when he knew his time was limited and asked his wife, Jean, to release it after he passed. It's such a great album. I had to wait 2 weeks after the first listening....it really ripped my emotions to shreds. Check out "Nature of the Game"..nothing but his D-41 and his voice. So sad that so many under 30 don't know his music and appreciate his absolute brilliance. You know, Don Henley asked him to join his "new" band called The Eagles....Dan turned him down and thank God for it!

The 2007 is maybe the best looking Ovation besides a plan old Legend for my taste.

FlySig...you may be right...I've had second thoughts ever since I posted it...my Martin is in the shop getting a B Band pickup system, so I've been "forced" to play the Ovation and my very underrated Epiphone Masterbilt. The 2007 is really a wonderful unique piece of art and a joy to play.....thanks for making me feel guilty for putting it up for sale! Freakin' conscience!

Diamondhead, I`ve got the new CD and i really like it. My 17 year old grew up on Fogelberg and has seen him live. She knows tons of his songs.

Diamond,

I love my Masterbilt AJ500! I agree with the others that you are NUTZ to sell that GORGEOUS Ovation, but someone is going to be very, VERY happy to take her off your hands!

;)

WillaMuse,
My Masterbilt is the EF-500R. It's the best solid wood-mortise joint guitar out there for under a grand, no question. Who says the Chinese can't make a good guitar?!

Good move. Mines not going anywhere anytime soon. I think it's the best Collector I've owned.
