Stephen, is that what the seller told you or are you just referring to the fact that he didn't include that information in the listing? (Twilight Zone Theme playing).
Go get 'er guys!

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | There is a label: you can see it in the close-up of the guitar body thru the epi...
The logo on the back makes this an 80's model...judging from the lack of sparkle, I'd guess '85-'86... |

Location: SoCal | You are probably in the minority if it is the late 70's and 80's style blue burst; later -8's are darker. OFC guitar is an exception.
However, others like the other finishes.
I like the -7 of which I have several, to include one of the original slotheads. Used to have a
-7 1688 Adamas I 12-string, traded it to the individual who sold me the -7 for a -8. Long story but he had gotten a -7 6-string and wanted the 08 back. If I had the -7, probably wouldn't be offering for sale/trade on the OFC now.
If this is confusing for anyone, check out Jerome's wonderful website website |

| I wasn't a fan of the blue until I saw one in person. Then I got a 1687-8 re-issue as my first blue one. Gotta admit, I prefer the subtlety of my original 1687-7, tho. |

Tony, I also like my -7's: they make you go ooh and ahh every time the cases are opened...
The blue burst on my '78 #119 is much more subtle than even #189...Jan. 78 vs May 78....
I have to admit, I really like them all... |
