Looks like it's missing the Trussrod cover and is that a "crack" on the body?

Anyone know if the modified X Bracing in these guitars is any good? In other words, will this guitar have a nice tone? I'm not familiar with the different bracing patterns and which ones are good and which ones to avoid.

Bracing is just one factor to be considered. In general (to my ears) X and A sound good and anything VT sounds like crap.

But for $250. it really doesn't matter. It's like serving a thanksgiving dinner to a hobo and he wants to know if the turkey is range-free.
