God bless,
Steve This might be a weird question, but who goes over to Ebay to do a search for Adamas tops, only to find something and then post it over here? I'm guessing you are not bidding on them...just did a search.......weird. |

[/QB] I think he was doing a search for Adamas Guitars (not tops) and found the tops while looking through the search results. I have no need for the tops, but I do find it pretty interesting, so thanks for sharing the link. |

The -2 Re-issues (the few that Al got)didn't have this "period correct" design. |

There were at least 2 different epaulet designs on the 1687's back in the day. The -2 reds had the bird's eye maple pieces of the epaulet puzzle at the lower ends. The reissue red 1687's that Al had for sale didn't have the same design as the late 70's models.
the design i like the best is the 2nd one in on the pic. Maple on the bottom.

From what I see, can't match any of the ones on Ernie's board. All I can tell you is that they all look and sound great. As an aside, believe the -7 finish brings out the beauty of the epaulet design and wood.
Stolen from Jerome's great site web page Is this what we are talking about? |

Under neath all the epaulets, the particular model numbers and colors were noted for the specific design. (all hand written). The factory looked a lot different in those days.
Tony, thanks for posting the pics. That's the design I'm talking about! |

I appreciate that some people post the odd and interesting Ebay stuff from time to time. I usually see these in my own searches (Ovation/Musical Instruments with Include Title and Description checked).
So, Dave... lighten up Dude! Let it go.
And God bless us all,

Sure they did............... Good point, Bill. I went into the other items he has for sale on ebay....they are all stuff that could be ripped off of sitting vehicles or motorcycles. It's like he's an ebay chop shop. Anybody know who this guy is? |
