Yeah, I think I do. I've never owned a 1996 Collector.

That burgundy is luxurious! I think it's Patty's favorite Ovation color.

It's not mine. I just do a craigslist search for Ovation every few days in the major cities. I thought this one might be of interest to someone in the group. ESPECIALLY when a collectors comes up at a good price. 750 obo. That sure sounds like 600 to me!!!!

yeah.. I thought the burgundy was nice.

Dave, you serious????

Then you'll love this one: Glossy neck (and chrome tuners, 'cause golden ones didn't look right.

Well, in fact the '96C is one of my most beloved guitars. Not as loud or boomy as the JL3, but very balanced, defined - and with silk and steels the best guitar to sing to. It was the one guitar that impressed our Takamine friend Rolf-Juergen the most of all. And hey, there were the Adamas slotheads as well in the challenge.

Best regards,
Kurt

To quote Patch, "It also has the magical mystery finish… it’s actually deep burgundy colored, but it looks completely different in different lights, shifting from black through burgundy to dark maroon and back again."

Thanx to Patch for a sweet and lovely Ovation I adopted in Apr 08!

Kurt, those new tuners REALLY take the guitar up another notch in the looks department.

Very sweet!

I'm going to pass on this one due to the nutwidth.

Those chrome tuners do look killer...I've always hated the gold ones.
