Just got home last night from a week in New Jersey. Wow, what a great week of fun! It started with arriving early on the redeye flight into Newark, then driving 2+ hours to southern Jersey. After checking into the house in Stone Harbor, it was off to Bogart's Bookstore in Millville for the girls' 2 hour gig.

Incredibly, Crimson Lake and his son drove an hour through the pine barrens down to Millville. He even asked them for their autographs on their CD, a first for them. The crowd at Bogart's was very kind and generous. The woman who runs Bogart's went out of her way to make us all feel welcome.

The girls set up a laptop with a webcam and did a live webcast to friends back in Utah. Amazing technology.

The rest of the week involved a lot of overeating, swimming in the ocean, and more music. The kids played on the streets of Stone Harbor several evenings. The main street comes alive after dark with herds of teenagers looking to meet other teens. Sara and Katie made a number of new music friends, mostly boys  , and got involved in some jam sessions at the local pizza joint.

My 12 yr old son joined in the street music on his mando, leaving him with a big grin. He said it was more fun than any other kind of performing he has done.

This is my dad and my son. My dad hosts this week at the beach every summer, a highlight of the year for all of us.

Very nice, looks like the girls (and you) had a great time. If only every day could be like that.

Looks like fun.
Remember the old days when you could ride a bike without a helmut?

Like this, with the helmets riding in the basket when they didn't know I was watching?

Ha! Busted! Enjoy making the memories with them. They grow up too fast.
