...truly American if they have assimilated (hate that word) into the US culture and appreciate our 'warped' American sense of humor. If our Asian brothers/sisters are truly on the Asian continent and have had no contact with red, white and blue American humor then they would not understand the above.

I've spent time in Asia and love the people. They laugh quicker at depreciating humor than any other non-American culture I've encountered world-wide. Just learn the regional no-nos and we can all sing Kumbaya and laugh at ourselves.

I'm half Polish and the other half 'bastard'. I love any well aimed Pollack joke and can turn it around to most of the ethnic/racial/religious/etc. genre.

So, geeeez, lighten up. Please don't go 'enlightened' on us all of a sudden. I prefer the curmudgeon image that you attempt to portray.

BTW, IMO (to get ya'll off the hook) the Chinese Olympic sham and the coddling press is totally disgusting in light of past and current history.

As a long time member of the board, I would like to express my personal (and only mine) opinion on this subject. I am definitely well assimilated to the American culture, being here for over twenty years. I do not mind ethnic jokes that are meant just for that, fun. However, being Asian myself, I can tell you, I am definitely not typical. People comes from all walks of life and background. A little respect never hurts.

Thank you Al, for pointing that out.

Before this gets too deep, Serge doesn't have a bad bone in his body.

And by the way you all deserve a vacation! However, since Fender isn't organizing a tour
:(, it looks like we'll be having a staycation. Maybe I'll write to the president of fender tonight. Anyone got his email?
