83 collector prototype? This guitar certainly has been beat to hell and back, but I don't believe I've ever seen that and the price is quite low... |

Tough job, but some of the craftsmen here have done more with less... |

I emailed him back when this post first appeared and asked if he'd ship. He said sure, it will be pro packed at a cost of $95 plus the cost of actual shipping. I replied that I would still be interested if he could find a more reasonable alternative. No response. Emailed him again a few days ago saying I was still interested. No response.
Sad. I'd love to have it, warts and all, but the logistics and lack of flexibilty keep it from happening. |

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba CANADA | I thought a lot of the sellers on eBay were dickheads. They have nothing on the ones using Craigslist and Kijiji.
I see this ALL the time!! Low price (usually too good to be true...), then the shipping (or handling, whatever that entails... putting it in a box, lol) is astronomical!!
Then they screw you around and don't reply to emails... |

Is this "ALL the time" like everybody knows about George Bush and Elixir strings? |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I bought an 83 for my daughter. Really pretty and sound as good as any supershallow bowl that I've heard. I also got a local guy to set it up as well as any of mine have played.
There was another on ebay recently and it might still be on there. |

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba CANADA | OK, 'ALL the time' is just a common expression (you just won't let it go will you...).
And as far as "my attitude..." goes, ask ANYBODY (and I mean ANYBODY (full stop)... ALL (THIS time not used as an expression... meaning 100%, completely) that I have EVER dealt with on eBAY and they will tell you... to A MAN (!!) that I have never been ANYTHING but polite, I pay within minutes of close (EVERY time...) and the one time I did have a problem as as seller (which wasn't my fault in any case...), I gave the buyer a refund!!.
Is this a problem with ANYBODY using generalizations, or is it just me. If you insist on making/taking the comments personally ALL the time, please PM me and we can discuss it like gentlemen.
Now back to discussing guitars... |

I would like to apologize to Waskul and Moody for getting my feathers ruffled (again...).
You are correct Waskel... there are a lot of dickhead sellers and buyers on eBay... and to Moody, you are also correct... making generalizations is never a good idea.
I woke up this morning to find water in my studio (as I predicted in another thread...) and right now am typing from a room with all the carpets pulled up and fans and dehudifiers droning away...
It's MY crap day and I shouldn't get 'pissy' about it with you...
Sorry :( |

Sorry to hear about your water problems. |

A Custom Legend with an Artist Bowl, acoustic only, with the barnboard finish of 83's Collectors model. Maybe this was one of the "ideas" for the 83C:
Best regards,
