I finally received my NEB 2778 lx yesterday (first O). It looks great and sounds great.

I did notice there was a bit of a space where the fret board meets the body. Is this acceptable?

I was able to insert a little bit of the hang tag into the space.

Thanks in advance,

More than acceptable - it's the goal. The idea is the "floating fretboard" allows more movement of the top for better sound.

Some were built with the floating fretboard. Supposed to let the top vibrate more. I thought they stopped doing that, but it certainly isn't a problem if the end of the fretboard and the top don't meet. If your action is good, your neck angle is probably good, so leave it where it is.

Thanks all for the quick responses. It's a relief that I won't have to deal with having to exchange it.
