Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | How often have you seen one of these for sale? Here is your chance to own one of the rarest of the rare! And it's in EXCELLENT shape as well!
So, why sell Patch?
Because Patch is sick with GAS and has decided to go after either a very high-end guitar, or a custom guitar from the factory and can't do so without moving an instrument or two.
There is absolutely nothing negative you can say about this guitar. It is the 12-stringed version of the vaunted 1537 and lives up to every detail of its reputation. It sounds like a piano! It plays like butter! It's got mojo in spades! You name it!
In fact, this one is even more unusual than others of the series in that it has the ivoroid/paudauk binding instead of the walnut. (I have no idea why, but it looks great with the burst finish.) The only minor flaw is a small, 1/8" crack in one epaulette where two of the soundholes are in close proximity to each other. I tried to get a picture, but it really is not that obvious.
As I am ambivalent about moving it at all, I am asking what it's worth (maybe a little less actually). I'll entertain offers, but no low balls please; these are too rare and too nice for that.
It will come in one of the newer hardhshell cases that I bought specifically for it. I'm asking $1800 shipped in the continental US. I will ship overseas, but ask for a quote (and prepare for a shock as we all well know by now).

| Superb guitar, best of luck with the sale. It's an early one, too.
Wonder how many were made? Mine's SN 301005, but that doesn't mean anything since the SN's were assigned as built. My 1538 is the next sequential SN after Tony Calman's 1537, and this one (Patch's) is 2 in sequence before Grif's 1537... |

This would make a very nice consolation prize to make up for that 1688 that got away. |

even though I have my Adamas 2080D 12 string and my Baxendale custom 12 fret slothead 12 string my heart still skipped a beat when I saw this one was up for sale!
Fortunately, I was able to overcome the momentary attack of major gas! |

I will applaud anyone able to liberate this gem, though.
Best of luck, Patch! |

Wrong time for me. It's a perfect match to my 37 too.
Movin into a new place in 2 weeks. The deposits sucked up the available cash, cards are getting maxed....
Damn... |

I take that comment as a go ahead on a nice ol' 1615. |

Stephen, just take a longer look at the photos, the GAS will come back.....just like mine did.
Damon, have no fear taking this out in public, it's as rugged as it is beautiful. And as someone who is looking for a house, I feel your pain; I'm willing to try and work something out if that would help.
Woody, t'ain't cruel....just GAS....bad, bad GAS....
And finally Todd, lemme know if that 1881 sells and best of luck with it.
Thanks for all the interest guys! |

I had to check my serial # to see if it was really only 2 away, but my 1537 is 301199.
If I was working full-time, I'd have my hat in the ring for this beauty. |

Also, because others have asked, I prefer payment by USPS Money Order, but I will take Paypal If you cover the 3% fee. |

Now if Damon were to sell me back my 12 string he'd have extra jing in his man purse... |

I have a very rare shot at a TOUGH-to-find guitar! But to get it, I need to move this one and at least one more! (And believe it or not, I've already sold my 87 Collector's as well.)
This 12-string just became a little more negotiable. Not cheap, but I'm slightly more flexible than I was last week.
Offers anyone? |

It's headed clean across the country, but I'll let the buyer self-incriminate. |

I kinda gave up on you selling your 12er that I liked, Bob. :)
Next time down, I'll bring her! We should set something up this summer... |

If it plays/sounds nearly as good as bobbo's, I'll be a happy camper!
(You do know I'm kinda ham-handed, don't you?) :)
Sometime next week....can't wait! |
