Well, I finally had to get rid of one my guitars yesterday. My Adamas 2080, as much as I loved it, was just more trouble than it was worth. The problems with the VIP preamp started again on Friday. After replacing the entire preamp, the guitar was fine for a few months, and all of the sudden, the preamp started crackling and cutting out again. It also had a brace come loose for no apparent reason. I traded the 2080 toward a Martin DC16RGTE Aura. Hopefully I have better luck with that. As much as I love Ovations, I don't see myself buy any new ones for a while. It seems like the older ones hold up a lot better. Ok ... let the flames begin...LOL.

I remember when Martin used to have more numbers than letters in the model designation. Ah, the good old days............
