Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Alrighty then, this is nearly a fire sale. I've decided to make a run at a very high-end guitar that goes up for auction in a week. So all of these will be going up on eBay in a hurry, but I wanted folks here to have first dibs. All of these are in very good to excellent condition with nice playability, straight necks and only a ding or two as shown in the photos. They all have hard cases which are also in good to like-new shape. I've put prices (including shipping in the US) by the pictures below, but they are definitely negotiable. Try me; you never know! Finally, follow the link below the pictures for lots more photos, and of course, fell free to ask questions.
So without further ado......
Adamas 1681 in excellent condition ($1400)
1537 Elite, excellent condition ($850)
1119 Custom Legend from 1976 with gold foil label; excellent condition ($850)
1997 Collector's; excellent condition ($800)
1995 Collector's, very good condition ($775)
1763 Cedar-topped classical; excellent condition ($700)
Lots more going for broke pictures
One last thing, this isn't the end of the sale either. Others are coming when I get a chance to take pictures. Stay tuned....or better yet, make an offer. :) |

Good luck, Patch! Can't wait to see what you're getting next! |

I would MUCH prefer that these stay in the OFC, but I have to move them FAST! |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Okey Doke! Everything's on eBay now, but truth be told, I hate that place most of the time. You will find links below for each auction, and they are all "NO RESERVE." (How's that for living dangerously? :p ) I had to type them up pretty quickly today, so if you see any glaring mistakes, please let me know OK?
NOW, if anyone here decides they want to pull the trigger, I will end the auction early. (I state as much in each ad.) The benefits are three-fold:
1) You get your guitar earlier and avoid getting sniped again on eBay. (You know full well it's happened to you before.)
2) I will make the usual listing donation to the OFC site (which seems only fair).
3) I get to avoid all the eBay hassles that so many of us have iterated over the years.
So someone send in some offers eh? I don't bite....well, not too hard anyway.

Adamas 1681

Sale pending on the 97 C. Since I know I didn't tell my kids and know they don't have any money, I have no hope that either of them is buying it for me. So, congrats to the new owner and I'll keep waiting until the kids can afford to buy me nice presents.
We did just get back from a nice trip to California, courtesy of one daughter's purchase of 3 nights' stay in Sonoma and the other daughter's contribution to a couple nights' stay up by Fort Bragg. I have no reason to complain. |

If it was an OFC'er, all I can say is "Thanks!"
Here's the copy/paste:
Dear patchmcg,
Man I tell You what. These dang ovations you have posted have really got me excited again. My first guitar when I turn professional was in the seventies and was the balladeer. You are correct in saying that the old american mades do not come close. These guys invented the true acoustic electric. Remember how tough it was to get "THE SOUND" from anything else out there. I talked to Glen Cambell about this, and he agreed with me. Good luck and I plan on bidding and winning one of your fine guitars. In turn this really wasn't a question but I had to tell you my gut feelings on your guitars. BEAUTIFUL, KC

All of my auctions end tomorrow. They are all "NO RESERVE" and at the moment (10 PM EST), the bids are ridiculously low (in a very nerve-wracking kind of way)! As I told another member, I sincerely hope hope that the snipers are numerous and well-armed tomorrow. |

It wouldn't be the first time I got bit on Ebay, and if something has to go cheap, I'd rather it stayed in the OFC than go to a stranger. Thanks and good luck! |

After recieving the wonderful 1538 Elite yesterday, I say, "Bid with confidence that these beauties are the way advertised!"

She quickly grasped the concept that my golf bag was old, falling apart and golf bags are kind of like women's purses for golf equipment. "OOOHH, this one is a pretty color and has lots of cool pockets." |

…and they all sold, so congrats on that Patch, hopefully your new project has been sufficiently funded… ;) |

I'm investigating plans B, C, and D now.
Personally, I think they all went cheap, especially since you lose 15% right off the top as the seller. As far as I can tell, none stayed in the OFC unless a lurker got one.
They've now been scattered from California to France. No one can say Ovation doesn't have a wide demographic! |
