Trying to get out of our townhome and into a real house for the first time, so it's back up for sale again--$1300 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

Mint Shen Jr. with nice Shen Jr. cover also available for $275 plus shipping to the lower 48 states. I bought this from ProfBB about a year ago and put less than 20 hours on this it.

Pics available upon request. Make an offer. PayPal only accepted if buyer agrees to pick up the PP fee.

An excellent combo. The 1881 may very well be the best production SSB out of the Mothership.

One on Ebay (for $1699/offer) if you're trying to decide whether mine is worth what I am asking. Can be seen here.

Todd, what preamp do you have? These came with an Optima. The one on eBay is an Op24.

Mine was built in 1996 and has the Optima--I really like it, too.

There was some discussion over another Ebay 1881 some time ago. IIRC, that 1881 was an earlier build and had the OP-24.

I understand that now. Mine is a 1996 model, first year for the Optima.

There has been some off-line interest, so let's push this back to the top. It's not getting the playing time it deserves.

$1300 shipped for the Adamas 1881-NB5. Includes original Ovation hard-shell case, Ovation Airlocks, XLR cable, and at least one set of new strings. Very minor cosmetic issues on back of neck and headstock--you have to look closely. Headstock ears are in excellent condition.  Soundboard/epaulets are in excellent shape. Set up for 0.12s. Pre-amp could use disassembly/cleaning. This is still a solid instrument and I want to keep it in the "family".

$275 shipped for the GB Shen Jr. including the GB padded cover. Hardly used, near-new condition.

Local pick-up encouraged--I really don't want to ship either of these. I will negotiate prices if we can avoid shipping.

I will trade the Adamas for an Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 (John Petrucci) in equal condition. DiMarzio Liquifire and Crunchlab pickups a plus, but not necessary. Piezo not necessary either.  No other trades considered.

I will try to post pics today (I've never had luck doing it) or I can email a bunch that I already have along with a very detailed description of the guitar.

PM if interested. Thanks.

Lots of views, but nary an offer.  This guitar really needs to stay in the family, too.

There has been some minor interest in the Adamas, but I'm going to hang on to it for a while.  I am glad dvd is enjoying the Shen Jr. though.  It really is a great little amp and it deserves to be put to good use.

Thanks to those who expressed interest.

Guitar is sold pending payment. I will let the new owner chime in when they feel it appropriate, but this deal was done with both parties feeling very good about it. I'm thankful this guitar is staying in the family.

Donation forthcoming--thankful for the OFC!!

Well, we tried to get the sale done, but without success three months later. So this 1881 is back up for sale at the price the previous deal was, $1350 shipped to the lower 48.

Thanks!

Price drop to the original price, $1300 shipped in the lower 48 states. This 1881 has been available for a while here, so off to ebay if no one in the family grabs it in the next couple of weeks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Reasonable offers welcome. Last one to go on ebay (#7887, an early model, no burst blue w/ OP24) went for just over $900 and the buyer is now trying to sell it for $1400. I really want to keep mine in the family.
