being rebuilt by howie. '78 1612-1 custom balladeer.
new nut and fret dress, neck oiled, waiting on bridge(think Jon B has already sent out from the mothership)
think not original neck tho 5pc has silver hw/diamond fret inlay/white binding(LX neck?). so I guess it's kind of a mutt.. still gonna be a very nice guitar.

God Bless,

Hi,

I've found and buy a 1612-1 Custom Ballader few weeks ago here in Finland. I'll never find out what modell it is without you, so thank You all who are writing in here!
There's no serialnumber in guitar, so it's maybe no possible to know more about it.
Somebody have sat on it and the top was broken, but one of my friend (luthier) repair it. The new top is aa-spurce with natural color, so it's not sunburst anymore :-(. But it sounds really good!
I'm now changing the frets, and then it's almost ok.
One big problem is electronics and the strap hlders are lost. Does anybody know where I can get new strap holders? There must be somekind of special system in Ovation? Please help me.

Isn't "Jukcat" the name of a high speed ferry?

(That's "FERRY", Cliff)
