Fortunately, the mothership referred me to an authorized service shop not so far away from my house, before considering shipping it over to them. The guy who worked on it did a fantastic job! :) |

Four hours straight, my fingers hurt, my throat's sore from singing, my daughter wants to move out because dad's lost it, and the Mrs. is grinning from ear to ear.

Neat to see folks doing a lot of the same music on the same day and all with Ovations no less. Wonder if Ovation would let us put together a "Worship" special edition? Hmmmmmm Instead of the strange symbology of Melissa Ethridge and planets like the Millenium, maybe a cross or fish or two.
Seems like Ovations used in worship represent a pretty strong cross-section of Ovation/Adamas owners? |

Believe it or not, the 'Twinkle Twinkle' thing in the 'Day Job' thread has me doing my ear training by working out a fingerstyle chord-melody for that particular tune. My wife laughs because I get frustrated...whodathunk a nursery rhyme would be so challenging. |

Btw, can one of our worship people here please tell me what the heck the deal is with the fish anyway? I see them stuck on cars and was told that those people are strong christians. That's cool, but I have no idea what the connection is between jesus and a fish. I'm not poking fun of relegion, I'm just curious what the fish means.

As for the fish, I've always connected it with the parable of how Jesus said "Give a man a fish and he can eat but teach him how to fish and he'll never hold a real job again." or something like that. 'Course they've refused to let me back in the Church for years now so I'm not really sure. |

I wore it proudly for a couple of months before my mother, of all people, pointed out that there was no 'n' before the 'k.'

Ironically, that's one of the things I love about Syracuse - it's a cheap little city but I'm only a few hours away from Toronto, NYC, Bahston, Philly, Saratoga, the Finger Lakes - I could go on but this is really a great place to be. |

JB I know it's probably very bad form to quote yourself [keep it clean, please - it's a family show], but I've just realised how wrong I was.
I was playing a NYE party at a local public house of debauchery, which went on after midnight, so technically the first one I played this year was my Tornado.
Strangely for me, though, "today" as a frame of reference doesn't finish until I get up the following morning. So I'm right on both counts. I have no desire to start any philosophical discussion on "today", and accept no responsibility for other peoples ideas that inevitably follow!
